The beach you called Sangobeag is actually Traigh allt chailgeag, the next beach over with the house on it is Sangobeag. Its the family croft in case you are wondering. Quite handy having your own beach - everyone should have one !!!

Well done Steve, interesting roads for next year, we parked up near Jedburgh and rode out next day, there are some cracking roads to ride, on to Blairgowrie for another stopover, road some of the Cairngorms upto Tomintoul, v windy at times but super on our GS, like you this the machine to do this job, on again to Tyndrum and the fantastic Glencoe, some traffic on that route, did a 168 mile loop. All in, 900 miles in the Campervan and 500 on the mighty GS and never got wet. Hope we can catch up sometime, ride safe Derek( in Lincoln).

The quality of your videos is exceptional Steve, especially enjoy the way you tell the story of your tours. You have been a source of inspiration to me trying to improve the quality of the videos I am making of the tours I've being doing. Currently looking at doing the North Coast in 2021 and this current series of videos will prove invaluable when the time comes to plan the tour. Please keep them coming!

Well done! I'm privileged to live on the NC 500 route, so ride it often. You have captured the beauty of our West Coast in your commentary. Your sheer awe made me smile (as did your pronunciations). I've yet to do that route but your video is a deal clincher for me Steve. It's now on my list. Whilst you were making that one I was in Snowdonia again riding my favourite roads and in basking sunshine! 24 degrees yesterday! There's something about bmw boxers imho that make them unrivalled for touring. They burble away and their tractability, comfort and capability make a relaxed job of things yet they can hustle when needed. Love my gsa...can't see me riding anything else now. Look forward to your next installment.

Enjoying watching this Steve, it's bringing it all back, especially the rain... One of the best sights I have ever experienced was coming over the hill to Loch Eriboll, lovely hearing your first view of it.. Now if you remember you commented on my video, and asked why I never took the route your just about too, all I can admit too is 'Ohh there's the turn I missed' 😳😂😂😂

Well Steve, sounds like you enjoyed that!! My favourite part of the NC500 is from Bettyhill to Durness and down the West to Kylesku. Remember Kylesku Bridge is not only famous for being opened by The Queen, it was also used by Ikea for an advert some years back. The next part of your journey the B869 is a challenge but unmissable in my opinion. Loving the video, bringing lots of memories flooding back, going back up to do it next May. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Always thought it strange lots of people do this route 'clockwise', this series proves it's best done anticlock no question. Thanks for keeping the camera rolling Steve, certainly some of the best NC500 footage I've seen. Funny how a bit of sunshine brings everything to life. Have been looking at hotels for early July, surprised how few are available on the likes of Booking.com even this early. Looking forward to the rest in the series. RSM8

Steve, I must have watched a dozen or more of these videos about the NC 500 on KZbin and I must say yours is by far the best. You tell the viewers where you are at by giving road and town names. Excellent. I plan on coming to Scotland late September or early October this year if covid restrictions are eased, do you think it would be less crowded that time of year? Although I must say the roads look fairly empty in you videos. Coming from the USA and would love to rent a bike, but strange country, strange bike, ad strange side of the road to drive on, so I will have to settle for a rental car.
@Steve-Clark-1200rt

Hi George thanks for the high praise for the series I really appreciate it. As for the question on how busy it will be I would normally say you'll be fine that time of the year. BUT with everyone being locked down for so long I'm expecting so many people chomping at the bit to travel up to Scotland for the amazing roads. I may be wrong but we are giving it a miss this year and going elsewhere. Really hope I haven't put you off, give it a go it's an amazing tour that will blow you away. All the best my friend.

Really enjoying working through your videos. Already planning to do the NC500 next year having watched your vids. We have the same bike, is the new seat better for touring? Just been in touch with Tony Archer. Taking our seats over to him at the end of October.

Thanks for watching Tim you will love the NC500. As for the seat it was to high but Tony reduced it in height and added his personal touch with the non slip and red piping and it's perfect for me now. Ride Safe buddy

Hi Jason only reason for the change was the fact that the Pan European got to heavy for me to manually move about. I did 40000 miles on her adding to the 7000 miles it had when I got her. Here's a video I did explaining the changes i did to the BMW when i first got it and yeah love the beemer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJq8g41jjNKXntk

The roads of NW Scotland are some of the best in the world but it rains so often up there. We were there in May and I made a tour series but so much rain! Did actually manage to get the drone up over the Kylesku Bridge on a rare dry moment at 15 min 30. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYvVl52FfMhjjsk Will take a look through the rest of your tour, KZbin only notified me you had posted this vid....nothing for the previous ones.
