Well done Steve, interesting roads for next year, we parked up near Jedburgh and rode out next day, there are some cracking roads to ride, on to Blairgowrie for another stopover, road some of the Cairngorms upto Tomintoul, v windy at times but super on our GS, like you this the machine to do this job, on again to Tyndrum and the fantastic Glencoe, some traffic on that route, did a 168 mile loop. All in, 900 miles in the Campervan and 500 on the mighty GS and never got wet. Hope we can catch up sometime, ride safe Derek( in Lincoln).

I've yet to do that route but your video is a deal clincher for me Steve. It's now on my list. Whilst you were making that one I was in Snowdonia again riding my favourite roads and in basking sunshine! 24 degrees yesterday! There's something about bmw boxers imho that make them unrivalled for touring. They burble away and their tractability, comfort and capability make a relaxed job of things yet they can hustle when needed. Love my gsa...can't see me riding anything else now. Look forward to your next installment.

Thanks for keeping the camera rolling Steve, certainly some of the best NC500 footage I've seen. Funny how a bit of sunshine brings everything to life. Steve, I must have watched a dozen or more of these videos about the NC 500 on KZbin and I must say yours is by far the best. You tell the viewers where you are at by giving road and town names. Excellent. I plan on coming to Scotland late September or early October this year if covid restrictions are eased, do you think it would be less crowded that time of year? Although I must say the roads look fairly empty in you videos. Coming from the USA and would love to rent a bike, but strange country, strange bike, ad strange side of the road to drive on, so I will have to settle for a rental car.
@Steve-Clark-1200rt3 жыл бұрын
Hi George thanks for the high praise for the series I really appreciate it. As for the question on how busy it will be I would normally say you'll be fine that time of the year. BUT with everyone being locked down for so long I'm expecting so many people chomping at the bit to travel up to Scotland for the amazing roads. I may be wrong but we are giving it a miss this year and going elsewhere. Really hope I haven't put you off, give it a go it's an amazing tour that will blow you away. All the best my friend.
