Agreed. The Chapter 4 story was so good. Dark Cacao reuniting with his subjects and Mystic Flour being more scary were the highlights for me. Especially the scarier Mystic Flour! Reminded me for Longan in Ovenbreak, and now I just have the headcanon that the Beasts were the only group of Cookies Longan actually liked.

The story rlly was amazing. Seeing my goat dark cacao go through such lengths for not only the subjects he cares for but his very kingdom cause it means everything to em even if there will be a time he wouldn’t be there for it anymore. And we also get Patrick seitz, his English VA’s amazing work to top it all off the icing on a great cake. Say what you want about the awakening system thing but end of the day this story is one of if not THE BEST one Devsis ever worked on.

I don't understand about the stolen Soul Jam part. Did Mystic Flour stole the entire Soul Jam or only the Soul Jam's essence? Because for the entire time during the cutscenes, Dark Cacao has his Soul Jam and it seemed like the Soul Jam crystal was never taken. But Mystic Flour implies she has DC's Soul Jam which doesn't make sense when DC still has it in his sword. 😅

It's a gameplay thing I believe. It's a simplified representation of the scene, and the poses and expressions are very repetitive, which saves time, and storage in the player's case. It's not supposed to affect the story, it's like a guide for you to view the scenes. It amazes me how they managed to cause such a big impression to the players with that simple method.
