TLDR: China has weird laws for everything. Anyone wondering about Chinese mobile games having cheaper gatchas than global releases is the limit on gaming time and spending on all games. I believe it’s 3 hours out of the week but I could be quoting wrong. Most Chinese versions of games base their revenue and popularity based on actual play time of the game rather than the micro transaction. Unlike the rest of the world where the dollar is king in progress and cosmetics.

Also in addition most Chinese gatchas will also have version exclusive things pretty much to help blast through actual progress in the game further enticing people to play their games over others. Busted shops and characters, cheap/free skins and heavy hand outs within story progression. But with all those benefits you can see why getting access to said versions is a lot more meticulous as WeChat pretty much controls everything account wise in any Chinese mobile game.

Getting a chinese apple id is easy enough if you’re not good with vpn and are willing to spend 10 bucks. But that’s not the hard part. I had a friend smuggle me into the chinese server of a game and I can tell you with certainty that unless you know someone that’s willing to lend you their phone number/create an account with their credentials, you’ll be locked out of every game
