I'll say this the one thing the Dolphins have been consistent and elite at in the past 20+ yrs is giving false hope. And most( I used to be one of them) fall for it hook line and sinker. So until we consistently win and do it against real competition I'm not buying it

Poup, how often does Tua call audibles? Does this offense allow him to audible into the deep pass to waddle or hill if the defense allows it?

You are jumping the shark. This headline is too soon by 1-2 wins. Now, it will be almost impossible since you start😂d putting pressure sooner than it needed to be. Next year, after 1 win, will you be saying “how long can the dolphins keep this up?!”

I’m a little tired of hearing how the back up QB situation was blown because of Skyler’s play. We are judging that based on a single half of play? That’s not even serious analysis. Now was letting go of White as your 3 a mistake, absolutely but to say Skyler didn’t pan out or wasn’t a good enough backup based on 15 pass attempts in Seattle is a serious concern as to the credibility of the people here.
@dave345734 күн бұрын
I dunno why they keep on harping on the not getting a credible backup. Skylar got Hurt. Who’s to say they kept Mike white or got Joe Flacco they would have not have gotten hurt in the 1st game as backup. Jury is still out on Skylar. He did look serviceable in year in 2022.
@mroverdose144 күн бұрын
Skylar was never good. He never showed ANYTHING. He played several games his rookie year. Every snap was below average to Bad. Played in relief of Tua vs the Bills.....awful but that's understandable. Seattle...... WORST. If Tua got hurt again would you play him or Huntley?
@HawgWyldFishing4 күн бұрын
Did you not ever watch the guy play? Ever? He had played a lot more than 15 snaps in his NFL career, and he looked just as damn horrible in his last attempts, as he did in his first. Literally showed no sign of improvement in his hesitancy, ability to see the field and read coverage, or trust what he was seeing enough to let the ball go. Then when he finally gets off of his first read, he gets happy feet and can’t decide if he wants to take off scrambling or stand in the pocket and it ends up getting him lit up like a Christmas tree. Which is why he didn’t finish the game in Seattle. And of all people, Black Friday Pick 6 Tim Boyle came in and immediately looked more competent, solely because he was willing to at least try to throw the ball and wasn’t standing there like a deer in headlights. Skylar is not a competent backup QB in the NFL. He might make a functional back up in the CFL or the UFL. Not the NFL.
@jeffreytowers72224 күн бұрын
@ We are talking about the backup for this season. Rookie year is throw away but was serviceable in playoff game against Buffalo. Year 2 DNP and this year(the year in question) played 2 quarters. He won the backup job in preseason and I would think he could have beat Ten and Indy .500 ball if he didn’t get cut in half at Seattle. The condemnation of the player using 2 quarters is simply not enough to seem to inform us on this being a bad decision for the 2024 season. My opinion, looks like a couple people disagree and that’s fine but we are talking about backup not starter.

2 wins in the last 5 games is a "run"?

The last four games they look like a playoff team. Had 10 point leads vs the division leading Cardinals and 9 point lead vs the league leading Bills in the fourth quarter. If defense can be more consistent they win both those games

Brock Purdy is now injured and missing GB game. Well let’s see how Brandon Allen does. If not shanahan and lynch better be fired. Not getting capable back up that will cost them the season. 😂. This is the 49ers here. All the dolphins naysayers think is so easy and an exact science that a back comes in and wins u games. Oh and Purdy same injury as the playoffs 2 years ago. Just like Tua played all last season injury free. How can SF not get a capable backup with all that talent. 😂
@Ballaholic174 күн бұрын
They have Josh Dobbs too. Kind of surprised they're going with Allen, but I'll bet he'll be alot better than any of our backups

@@Ballaholic17we shall see. There season is on the line vs GB. Not sure they can afford another lost to an NFC team. And they still have the Bills and Lions and are last their division

@dave34573 Oh yeah. I don't think they're going to win at GB this week. Bad timing to lose Purdy, and that loss last week vs Seattle was bad for them.

Difference Tua is a top 5 draft pick and Purdy is a last pick. Purdy is better
@dave345734 күн бұрын
@@parrott113 😂WTF are u talking about. This is about a pre season Super Bowl favorite not going into the season having a capable backup. 😂Purdy with bad elbow and now bad shoulder for a guy that does not have a big arm. And if Purdy was better than Tua why are the 49ers 5-5😂… when he does not have the best roster or missing players he is average and now injured 😂…. Yet dolphins have injuries and it’s all on TUA…. 49ers have injuries and it’s not Purdy’s fault they 5-5. 49ers not making the playoffs and about to pay Purdy an max contract with arm issues😂
@dreadedheathen99874 күн бұрын
The team is soft. They have been soft. Their QB is fragile and small, the WRs small and finesse who can get bullied at the LOS, and their RBs are finesse as well. The one RB they had that was a bruiser they cut. Soft LB's and fragile OL

We should probably think about sitting Armstead Sunday since we have a quick turnaround on Thursday. There's an argument to be made that Sunday's game is more important since GB is an NFC opponent, but Paul might have a better shot vs. NE with Christian Barmore and Keion White on the edge rather than playing against Rashan Gary and Lucas Van Ness for GB. Dolphins win 35-16
@hovertrout14 күн бұрын
1 more win making 3 in a row then falling to GB, Houston, maybe Cleveland= no playoffs
