Love the Jefferson stamp/cover. I was lucky enough to visit the Jefferson Memorial (and a bunch more sites in DC) on a two week trip to the US in 2017.

I bought a sale -lot years ago and one envelope in the lot had stamps on piece of several nations with first day cancels.

I collect first day covers it use to be difficult you had to order from a stamp shop not many around now from mark uk

Hello and great question. You will have to check with your local post office for their rules, but I would think if it were a first day cover that has been cancelled then it is not valid or postal usage.
