OMG, you guys! I won the draw at the mill! When the owner called I started talking about my video, it was clear she didn't know what I was talking about! 😆 Then I thought "Wait, how did she get my number?!"

The weird guy is a 50-year-old Old Spice decanter. It appeared between 1973-75. Way cool.

What a fun adventure. Wow, such a steal on the needles. The alpaca yarn looks so yummy just naturally colored. Margaret sounds like a nice lady. Must have been a really small town if restaurants aren't open on a Saturday.

Hi Diane! Roadtrip! Hi Dude! A quarter? Wow, steal of the day! Nothing wrong with a random pitchfork and a squirrel figurine. A sudden knitting librarian convention! How cool is that? LOL look at all those cars! LOL The honeycomb shelves and sheep planter are adorable! It's so heartwarming to see the community turning out for the opening. It's nearly impossible to step into a yarn shop and not leave with something. Beautiful alpaca yarn. Alpaca wool definitely has some features that need to be taken into consideration when pairing it with a pattern. Also, keep in mind that it does not have memory the way sheep wool has so try to not use a pattern where blocking is necessary for the final outcome. Ms. Margaret sounds super sweet! It was great to see the equipment. It helps to appreciate the amount of work and expense that goes into creating yarn from animal fiber. Congrats on winning the draw! Cockadoodle Kitchen! Well, look at that! Vintage Scheepjes! What a great find! They will be great animal mittens. Whoa, that certainly is huge. Thanks so much to both of you for taking us along on your road trip. It's been about four years since we've traveled outside of our immediate area I wonder if we'll be up to taking a small trip when our houseguest arrives. It remains to be seen. Much love!

Super cool that you won! Make a swatch with the alpaca. I had some alpaca silk yarn and decided to make a cabled neckerchief. It’s fine, but it’s so soft and drapey that it does stretch a lot and doesn’t hold its structure as well as wool. But it feels so nice on the skin!
@MyPinkBathtub-Diane8 ай бұрын
That's a great idea about a swatch! Thank you ❤

That was a fun day out! The alpaca yarn looks scrumptios. I've heard that 100% alpaca doesn't have much memory which means stretches a lot. I'm not sure what happens when you wash it, though. Hmm, looks like some reseach is needed. If only you knew a librarian or two who could help you search for information 🙃

Yes, many people told it it grows. I will have to 'research' what I should make with it.
