I highly respect the torture NFL QBs endure. Having said that, Luck’s retirement timing couldn’t have been worse. I don’t hate anyone but Luck really stuck it to the Colts. And a gracious Irsay even rewarded him for past performance!! It’s easy to look back and wonder why Chris didn’t draft at least a developmental QB in the next few years, but we weren’t in his shoes. Once Stroud was picked, another very difficult decision has resulted in a leap to a great athlete with a questionable future. Colt’s fans are so patient and “HOPE” will be our mantra. I hope that this very promising D-Line can make our corners and safeties look at least average. 🙏🙏😎🇺🇸

Something I don’t think gets talked about enough with the Andrew Luck retirement: what if he wanted to come back after a year or two? Irsay and Ballard couldn’t move on to another young QB until they were 100% sure Luck wasn’t coming back. That’s a big reason why I think they went the veteran route. Along with having a team ready to compete.

No ballard didn't like the qb's on previous drafts plus he's too scared to trade up and draft a top 3 qb

@@bmack8561 what year should he have traded up to into the top 3 to get a QB? Luck retires in 2019, they leave the door open for him to return in 2020 so they sign Rivers (and make the playoffs). 2021 was realistically the first year they knew Luck wasn’t coming back, but picked at 21. Was he supposed to trade up to get Mac Jones, Justin Fields, or try to trade everything to go up to 3 to get Trey Lance. They instead go with Wentz and it couldn’t have gone worse: they just miss the playoffs, aren’t bad enough for a top pick, and Wentz plays enough that Philly gets a 1st instead of a 2nd. 2022is low risk-low reward with Matt Ryan: either they repeat 2020 and make a run with an old QB or Ryan is so done they have the opportunity to tank for a top pick. In total, he’s had 1 or 2 legit seasons where he could’ve tried to go with a young guy and the first real shot he had at taking a rookie QB was in 2023 with Richardson.

Hey Kevin, love the show. I have a question for the show, why do you always talk about the 54-60-1 record, but never mention in his seven seasons, the colts have a winning season record? 4 winning seasons and 3 losing. The first 4 - 12 losing season was with a coach he didn't pick that was clearly in a lame duck year and on his way out, which lead to drafting Nelson. The second 4-12 season was because his boss fired Frank, who was known for slow starts but winning seasons, because he wanted his HoF center to coach, which lead to AR and Shane. Please explain why you cherry pick one over the other. I listen to every episode and have since you started them, along when with you were with the colts.

Turn down your freaking volume at the beginning. Can’t hear a thing with the loud intro. Geez

Dude, calm down. 😂 It's not their fault that YOU can't control YOUR volume on YOUR end! 😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️

@@7d12l87g he's talking about the mix. The music is louder than their vox in the intro. it doesn't matter how I adjust my volume knob, I can't mix the audio.

The 80’s called and they want their roster building strategy back. I thought this would go away by now, but it hasn’t. It reminds me a lot of when the Jets in the early/mid 2010’s kept taking Defensive Ends and Tackles in Round 1 & 2 (Wilkerson, Coples, Ellis, Richardson etc). Those teams were completely stacked up front and were complete failures overall. The modern NFL is won on the perimeter at the skill positions. While the Chiefs have decent players in the trenches, their skill guys are usually superior. The amount of $$$ and high level draft picks dedicated to both lines by the Colts is ridiculous. Yet they keep putting Walmart players on the perimeter. I will reserve judgement on the WR corps; but I anticipate this secondary is going to struggle mightily.

Stroud unfortunately about to throw for 400+ and 3+ TDs week 1 against this lameduck secondary

Only way to stop them is if the d line can get there with 4 or if they can disguise some blitzes and get there QUICKLY

Why he didn't do that last year?
@YokedDrunkard2 ай бұрын
@@biggame8743 I mean, he was a rookie. I expect him to be better this year. Just because it didn't happen last year doesn't mean it won't this year.
