Great stories! I have wondered for years about the hantavirus and how the Navajo people were doing. I was so worried about them. So scary and next to impossible to keep the tiny deer mouse out of homes.

This was huge news in Wisconsin....thank Gid for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin.... WHY they didn't think to get her rabies treatment right away? Who knows. It's common knowledge that bats carry rabies in Wisconsin.

I find it interesting that Jeanna was bitten by a bat on her index finger at St. Patties church. I like to imagine she pointed accusatorily and declared "YE BATstard!" 10 days locked in must have been wild.

Amazing story! Glad she survived it. I saw a pt dying from the same virus when I was a nursing student. It is horrible.

My dad’s cat brought a bat into the house once when I was there. I wrapped it in a doubled up towel and took it outside , unhurt. I was petrified of rabies. I then washed the towel on hot

You don’t use the defibrillator when there’s a flatline. You do CPR. Defibrillators are used to regulate existing heartbeat.

I definitely only know some of this stuff due to medical issues but people def make me wonder if they actually pay attention when getting helped. I guess it's a way to be grateful they don't have to know what it's like

@@savannahflock2354I’m sorry to disagree but medical knowledge is constantly advancing and she’s right, shocking the heart helps restart the rhythm by “jump starting” the electrical activity. It’s also used to correct arrhythmia, it’s completely dependent on the case but usually shocks aren’t indicated until CPR hasn’t restored a heart beat, but you continue CPR between shocks because CPR keeps the blood flowing to organs while the shock only touched the electrical system. If that helps explain it a bit. (Experience EMT, PCT and current nursing student)

@@barbimorgan1162no. Rabies does not offer life long immunity like polio, small pox, measles, rubella, hep b, hpv, etc It fades between 6 months and 2 years in humans. In pets it's between 1 and 3 years

To answer your question "dry liquid" is what you get when you combine a liquid with (usually) a silicate and mix it quickly so the liquid is trapped inside the silicate. It has the consistency of a powder or brown sugar. Since liquids more easily change volume with temperature or pressure sometimes when volume must be exact, it's better to use the dry form and remove the silicate after. Edit because the channel's ads interrupted my reply, they close my window so I had to post it fast lol

Ginas Symptoms sounds a Bit Like rabies 😮 but i Guess there will be another rare diagnosis i Never heard before - because when i think right away at the beginning of the Story that it Sounds Like rabies for sure a doctor would have thought about that possibility faster than me 😅 - i am curious to find out what Gina really suffers from Oh it IS rabies ! 😮😮😮

This channel clearly states that it is *not* Ballen's channel and they provide links to Ballen's actual channels/media. Other channels may not do that so if it not then they should have their channel removed. The way this particular channel is set up Mr. Ballen is the only one who would recieve any benefit.
