Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah hi wabarakatu - can I combine my intention of making up my missed fard fast(ramadan) with the intention of fasting in the first 10 days of zul hijj?
@learningadab4 жыл бұрын
Wa ‘alaykum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Fataawa as-Siyaam (438): If a person fasts the day of ‘Arafah or the day of ‘Ashūra’, and he still owes fasts from Ramadan, his fast will be valid, but if he intended to fast that day to make up for a missed Ramadan fast, he will have two rewards: the reward of the day of ‘Arafah or the day of ‘Ashūra’, and the reward for making up the missed fast. This applies to voluntary fasts in general, that have nothing to do with Ramadan. You may combine your intentions for making up your Ramadhan fasts and fasting the days of Dhul Hijjah, inshaAllah. What if you can't fast? Fasting is a superior voluntary action but shuyookh need to address the matter of those who can't fast. They want to fast but they can't.
@dr.mobarakali2554 жыл бұрын
Jazakum Allahu Khairan, but there is no basis to mix up or confuse two completely different fasts as one. Fasting on Mondays and Thursdays was a routine practice of the Messenger of Allah SAS for the two separate reasons he SAS himself noted.The first 9 days of Zul Hijjah is disputed, except for Yaum 'Arafat with specific virtues of forgiveness for two years.
