@@uchihakakarot8978 Follow your local country. If India is celebrating Eid al adha on monday August 12 than you should fast August 11 which will be the day of arafah for you. My country is celebrating Eid on Sunday August 11 and Arafat will be on saturday August 10 for us. But just fast on Saturday August 10 to get more rewards in these blessed days of dhul hijjah.

Can you please add or include some sort of references of all the ahadith and riwayas(in the video while explaining or in the description column). I don't doubt the sincerity and authenticity of 'em but you can't really teach anybody else or quote a hadith for someone's benefit and say I heard Omer Suleman say it. Hate to nitpick, but I hope you understand my heart is in the right place. Thanks again.

Wa ‘alaykum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Fataawa as-Siyaam (438): If a person fasts the day of ‘Arafah or the day of ‘Ashūra’, and he still owes fasts from Ramadan, his fast will be valid, but if he intended to fast that day to make up for a missed Ramadan fast, he will have two rewards: the reward of the day of ‘Arafah or the day of ‘Ashūra’, and the reward for making up the missed fast. This applies to voluntary fasts in general, that have nothing to do with Ramadan. You may combine your intentions for making up your Ramadhan fasts and fasting the days of Dhul Hijjah, inshaAllah. Jazakum Allahu Khairan, but there is no basis to mix up or confuse two completely different fasts as one. Fasting on Mondays and Thursdays was a routine practice of the Messenger of Allah SAS for the two separate reasons he SAS himself noted. The first 9 days of Zul Hijjah is disputed, except for Yaum 'Arafat with specific virtues of forgiveness for two years.

I don't want to be confused like eid ul fitr where Saudi and Iran differed on that day and most countries including those in North America following Saudi ruling/calculation(I'm going to do an extra Ramathan makeup day to stay on the safe side).

Some of the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said that he would fast the first nine days of the month of Dhul Hijjah, the day of Ashura, and three days of every month, which would be the first Monday and Thursday of the month.
