Lmao so I’m not the only one that felt this way about LA 😂 I’m a South African that moved to LA 5+ years ago. Geez it was a rough experience. Our culture, humour and just our outlook on life is very different. It was hard to relate to Americans this side of the world on a genuine level. Seems like so many are on a different level when it comes to mental health issues. They are stuck in a certain narrative that they created in their minds. It’s not about who you are that matters, but more what do you do. Whenever you meet new groups of people, they tend to ask what do you do more than who are you as a person. It’s about name dropping and your level of importance become associated with which circles you claim to be in 😂 It’s tiring and a vanity like chasing after the wind.
