Back in 2000, All Blacks played Scotland at Carisbrook in Dunedin. My first year out of high school from Whanganui, I've moved down to Dunedin. I was invited to a friends house for dinner where Alama Ieremia & Tana were also going to be there. Funny dinner talks and a great memory to treasure forever. Nearing the end of dinner I said I was going out to catch up with mates in the city. Tana without hesitating offered to drive me. "Yes please!" feeling blown away. We pull up outside the nightclub and everyone see's Tana in the car, then I hop out and everyone that knew me was like.."Ayeeee...how does Shaka know Tana?" hahahaha Tana was cheeky as too pretending to speak like a Maori and that he was my taxi driver when I was getting out. I remember Tana taking a group of players to Ramelton in Donegal to visit the birthplace of Dave Gallaher. Later met him at a book signing in Wellington when my wife and I went travelling. Class act.

Faafetai lava uso mo le talanoaga matagofie. Whilst the discussion is based around rugby/sports, the values and principles cut across all areas in our lives. Great pearls of wisdom being dropped, which has prompted alot of self reflection for me. Please continue to share your experiences and knowledge usos!
