Miriam is visiting to assist with the styling of my project. Visit of an abandoned watermill that was used als set for the filming of a Franco-Dutch movie in 2014 because of its ‘enchanting setting’.
I am vermenting walnuts in Balsamico to share my secret recepe, other and odd jobs.

Some quotes from the video:
Observe, contemplate and share is basically just ´hanging around´. Teen-agers or old men do this by getting together and sharing stories or gossip on ´their´ public bench. Hanging around in this landscape, or strolling without a specific purpose feels sometimes useless. And since I am on my own most of the time, sometimes I just do things to share with you, my viewers and followers. Like fermenting walnuts, or visiting an abandoned water mill.

A few years ago I started fermenting walnuts. It’s not like making jam, and get it done in a few hours. It’s a process that takes a few weeks. Bruising and pickling the nuts, rinsing after a few days repeatedly, and jarring them after a short cooking with Balsamico and some herbs.
The vinegar will soften the contours of the nut inside the green skin after a few weeks. . It goes together well with game meat on rare occasions. But chuncks of these walnuts in a beetroot salad make it over delicious. And nobody can figure out what this interesting ingredient really is…

This looks like Toscany in France. It is La Ferme de la Marlerie (Marble Farm) in the middle of nowhere... Grain 'wasteland' or the fly-over country with its specific kind of beauty. The pastel colors of the walls and windowsills make it almost like a Morandi landscape painting, although I do not know if he produced any.

I wander around to observe a ll the fields with their abundance of grain. In a few days everything will be harvested and summer will be almost over. This rapid change of seasons also became clear to me in spring. Fast, fast, fast, like there is no tomorrow.
But this view also reminds us of when we were children and summer lasted forever… (mentioned by Allessandra Sutter Page on my account on Instagram)
