Hi Bobbi, I always enjoy seeing your projects and listening to your videos while I am knitting. I find 9 inch circular needles hurt my hand also but I recently bought a chiaogoo twist shorties combo pack. It comes with 2 and 3 inch needle tips in your ordered size and a 5 and 6 inch cable. This allows you to assemble 9 to 12 inch circulars. I use a 2 inch tip for my left needle, a 3 inch tip for my right needle and a 5 inch cable making a 10 inch circular. This extra inch surprisingly takes the stress off my hand while knitting. Happy knitting, Cheri

Bobbi, I really enjoyed your podcast. I did the MKAL with Stephen West last year. I believe the Stephen West MKALs go for 4 weeks, not 8. I did it last year and didn't even try to keep up, because I work full-time and didn't want to overtire my hands. I love your free patterns you recommend, as well as the regular paid-for patterns. I love the colors you selected for your Twists and Turns. Your sense of color is so classic and subtle/wearable.

Yes, shell buttons were made from shells. I thought on an earlier video of those as a possibility! Your knits are all beautiful!

Hi Debbie! Thank you for the button info. My grandma’s buttons are so precious to me and it means so much to be able to use them and not leave them in a jar on a shelf. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment! 😍

I really enjoyed your podcast and that lovely story of your grandmother. My mother was the one with the sewing machine and her name was also Amy but her machine was a Necchi. I am also hoping to join the Stephen West CAL.

Thank you Bobbi for another lovely episode….you live in such a beautiful area! I’ve tried several heel constructions but the heel flap and gusset for me fits the best. I can’t wait to see your Stephen West MKAL shawl and your So Faded sweater!

I'm a die hard 9" circular needles sock knitter. It's difficult for the first 4 rows but after that it flies! I also change to DPNs for the toe. My favorite heel is the Fish Lips Kiss. It's only a $1 on Ravelry. Love your cardi,

I tried the Chaigoo 9" needle and I did not like it. But I discovered it was the needle itself rather than knitting in the round on a tiny circular. The 9" I got has a cord a little thicker than the mini changeables I purchased for some reason, so it liked to resist being curved more than the interchangeable needle cord. The needles on the cord are also the same size, and I felt slightly blunter than my interchangeable as well. I decided to get a Chaigoo twist set that has two pairs of different size needles, a 2" (like the 9" circular) and a 3" pair, with a couple of thin cords. I bought a long cord too so I could have one set of needles on a short cord that came with the needles and the other set on a long cord for the areas on a sock where magic loop is required (eg. toe decrease), and I really like knitting in the round with the different size needle and having the long one for heel flap and toes.

44:00. Getting the crinckles out, needs no soaking in warm water: just hang the loop and put Some hot steam onto it. The yarn Will relax immediately, and Needs les time drying. I use a niddy noddy to put the loupe on. Greetings from the Netherlands

Hello Mari! I’m going to try your suggestion to steam the unraveled yarn today. I ripped out a sweater yesterday and I need to get the crinkles out. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! I love that you’re watching from the Netherlands. Take care and have a wonderful day. 😊❤️

Gorgeous yarn for your West MKAL but I'm concerned there's not enough contrast. A way to tell is to take a picture of the colors you want them turn it black and white. I'm thinking all of your light colors will look the same in black and white. If they do, you won't see the difference well in a piece. I've done this for while but Stephen also recommends doing that. I think you're Heirloom for your so faded would work well as the contrast in the west MKAL. Your knitwork is really beautiful!

Beautiful color work sweater. You do lovely work. The gray sweater is great too. Classic look. When I was trying to learn to knit socks the book I had had you knit two tiny socks like that to learn the basics. My last pair was Jo’s Perfect Slipper Socks by Cozy Up Knits in DK yarn. Interesting construction. 🧶💕🧶. Thanks for sharing!

I tried the 9” several times just didn’t like them. It was killing my arthritic fingers as well. But I did try the FlexyFlips and love them. I knit socks much faster with them. Love your Dahlia Cardigan.

I really like your colour and pattern choices. The dahlia sweater is very pretty. I have the Letti-Lopi yarn from Iceland which is 100% wool, 4-5 mm needles. I’m wondering if you think it would work in the dahlia sweater. Or would I do better with another style of cardigan. It would certainly be warm.
