Thank you so much for showing us the 'Braidy loop' sweater - I really need that in my wardrobe! I already knit the Alpine Bloom sweater last year and I have recently finished the Framed sweater - I knit that because I'm not going to Rhinebeck, living in Denmark makes it kind of expensive to travel all the way to Rhinebeck to go yarn shopping but at least I have the sweater - and I have the Knitting for Olive yarn shop right around the corner! I like your podcast very much - everything you knit is so neat and nice! 😊

Thank you for the bundle, there’s some beautiful patterns in there. The Leafette pattern is in my Favorites, I have yarn for it, so I might knit it sometime soon. I’m not quite in the fall sweater mood yet as it’s been quite warm here in Southern California.

Love your episode and channel. I just love all of your handknits you wear. They just look fabulous on you. I have the eco-baby and am now needing to knit that Astere. Thank you for the inspiration. I have knit for along time and graphs are not my favorite but sure can do them however I choose to write my own out in words when I find the graph. I think for me the old way is “ see-write-do” works well for my brain…. Maybe this may work for others as well. This works well when you are following several graphs ( cables etc), within the pattern, at least for me. Thank you for today.

Great podcast Bobbi! I love watching you and always look forward to your knitting tips. Thanks especially today for mentioning what your floats look like (smiles) on the backside of your colorwork. I am knitting my first colorwork sweater and can use all the advice I can get! I’m currently working on a pattern called Goldwing by Jenn Steingass. It is beautiful and you should check it out! Thanks again!

I consider fall to be October, November, and December. Our coastal NC summer season is very long and our winters are mild. I have very little use of wooly knits and, although I love the look of mohair, it is just too warm.

Polina is on my to do list. I saw one project done with Noro silk garden sock solo in the Omitamo S1 colorway with a dark brown for colorwork. I have this in my stash and I was totally smitten. I will also do Sunset Highway. I just received a huge binge buy of Linen quill. Purl soho had a late summer sale and I thought 😆I needed to buy a lot of it. So two of the colors will be Misurina. Not sure what else…..three are likely enough.

Hello there, I really enjoyed this podcast. Lovely choices! I can see why you prefer the Autumn Alpine design-the yarn choices really showcase the design. The Spincycle yarn hides/dilutes the colorwork. Cheers! ❤

Oh my goodness, Bobbi!! I hope you haven’t frogged your Frame. I had a thought that if you just frog back to the ribbing you could put that on a barber cord and look for another pattern that you like and use that ribbing for the new sweater. Tubular cast-on is so beautiful, it would be a shame to have to start that over again. Even if the new sweater is a few stitches different, you can easily adjust that count in your first knit row. Just a thought….. Love your chosen patterns…always!!!

Hello Bobbie, I love watching and finding beautiful patterns and learning a lot. I am 59 and have been knitting for a year. I finally have gotten better at knitting and decided to jump in and make my first garment . I’m making my daughter The Turtle Dove cardigan and I’m knitting socks. I have a lot of plans for the future and of course collecting yarn lol. Have a great day and happy knitting . Thank you 😊

Hi Bobbi, one of my favorite podcaster! I was thinking of doing framed cowl she came out with. Might be a good way to try color work. Of course I hear socks are the best way to start color work. 🤷♀️

Great podcast! I always love a pattern review. At the moment, I am working on Thea Colman’s Luxardo and Alicia Plummer’s Garnered Cardigan- both lovely and fun to knit. I have pattern and yarn lined up for Asterie as Fall project. Can’t wait!

I had the Fie and Leaflette saved in Favorites and added the Polina Pullover, and Asterie. I'm currently knitting Pothos by Beth McDonald Stone and Rococo by Sari Nordlun. In hibernation: Scarflette, by Justyna Lorkowska and Ilia by Michelle Wang amongst various scrappy shawls I add to periodically. I particularly like to see what you choose to knit in what I imagine a fairly warm year around climate? I live in northern Calif. Thanks so much for the roundup of autumn sweaters

Another wonderful podcast with so many great pattern suggestions. If someone is having difficulty using charts I would suggest they colour code the chart. K2together could be pink, SSK, blue etc. I also increase the size of the chart so that it is easier to see. Using a magnetic board and following the rows with a ruler under or over the row you are working on keeps you on the correct row. I use all three of these suggestions and find they make doing lace charts so much easier.

Did you mean Wigeon? (rhymes with pigeon and is a type of duck)
@christijones7814Күн бұрын
Thanks so much for putting together this bundle. I love almost all of the patterns. The first one I want to knit is the Braidy Loop. My youngest daughter would love this. She prefers the oversized sweaters and this one would definitely fit her style. I’m currently working on the Vanilla Fluff sweater for her as part of The Woolly Thistle’s KAL. I’m using Rauma Finulfarn and Plum held together. It’s a bit scratchy so I’m crossing my fingers that it will soften up after washing.

beautiful patterns. If a pattern uses charts, and one doesn't like them, it is fairly easy to turn it into written instructions. Sometimes I will do that to make it easier for me to memorize.

Hi Bobbi! Thank you so much for the great podcast. I wait always impatiently for a new one from you. I live in Germany and like so many of us (I am 57) I had stopped knitting for some decades and restarted it two years ago. I must admit, that you have always soooooo pretty choices in colour and style. You look terrific in your handknits. So have a nice Sunday afternoon with many greetings from Bavaria.
