A very interesting conversation I work as a senco assistant in a primary school. I also am a mum to 2 boys with autism/adhd. I do this job as i have the lived experience of knowing the difficulties/challenges/fight a parent has to make sure their children are supported at school. Im in the south west and things are very different i think to that of london. Schools need so much help the understanding of new teachers of what they are really walking into is not there. Teachers have no real training in SEN its not part of their degree placement which is a massive flaw. I personally in my little space will keep fighting for our kids so they can flourish like this young man and my now 18 yo who is a butcher and doing a plastering course.
