Episode 70 - Correa Conquers Verona, Again

Great pod guys. What a performance from the boys. So surprised by Correa, he did very well. We need to see a few more performances like that before the new year and then he would be viable to be swapped in for arnautovic for the champions league squad (changes can be made in January). Yeh second half was strange tactically. It became a 4-4-2 basically, with De Vrij and Bisseck as centre backs, Augusto LB and Darmian RB, (later Buchanan went RB and Darmian LB). Mkhi was left mid, Frattesi right midfielder, Asllani and Zielinski centre mids and Correa up front behind Thuram (later Arnie). Totally surprised me to see Inzaghi try out a back 4 lol. But it’s a good thing, I like to see inzaghi trying out some different tactics (safe to do when 5-0 up at half time) still though it shows he is growing stronger as a coach

Thanks! Yes, this Correa is a weapon for the team, something I wasn't expecting to happen. :D Trying out a bit modified formation was indeed an interesting experiment even if the team wasn't playing 100% anymore.

Buchanon also looked solid - good cameo. I hope we can use his ability to dribble.

Yep, he could be a weapon during the season if he can do what basically the rest of our players cannot do, dribble past his marker (he did it twice in one play against Verona :D)

I'm really happy to see Correa play well. I'm not a fan of tearing our own players down, so it's good to see people encouraging for once. He has skills and potential, but it seems that injury really brought him down. Hopefully this can be a springboard for his confidence, and he can be a good option off the bench or when we play lower teams.

Yeah it's always great to see players do well, or improve. If Correa can keep up this level, he should be useful throughout the season.

Carlos Augusto speed and direct approach are needed , with di Marco ur limited, no counter no dribbling, back pass only and hes defending is awful.

Augusto coming back is a great thing since we can rest Dimarco more often.
