Jason how can u say hooxie losing niko would be worse than hooxie losing Monesy? That's Crazy Niko is not even close to his old form and Monesy is a fucking 🔥 98% of the time. And g2 isn't a good team the only reason they have a good placing is Monesy, I know fan bois will say nikos back because he had 1 or 2 good games since cs2 started but in all reality he's just as good as hunter very mid and quickly sinking

If you stop and think about donk yelling cocksucker is he’s using being gay as an insult and hence why people have an issue with it. I think it’s disingenuous to just write it off as people being “soft”. At the end of the day majority of the people don’t mind trash talk but there’s always going to be a line and gendered/race/sexual insults should always be off limits. Just my thoughts.

The problem here is the difference in language and culture. As a russian myself I can clearly say that's "cocksuckers" is one of the most used bad words in Russia. It doesn't convey any real meaning in terms of gender motivated insult. It's like when some atheist says "omg", does it mean that person started to believe in god or he's just using one of the most popular phrases to show his emotion? There are actually a lot of bad words in russian that would sound horrific if you translate them literally but they don't carry even a slight meaning of something that bad, because people started to use these words pretty long time ago and they kinda lost its meaning. I can see a problem with the sponsors and all that stuff tho so I understand ESL's reaction. Also I want to say that we have some sort of "n-words" but more about nations, not races. Because here in Eastern Europe and CIS we just hate each other so there're a lot of hateful speech. And those words are totally worse than just a "cocksucker" and you clearly cant say them in public (although you can hear them very often when you play cs in Russia). And donk never used them in kato. Everything he said was nothing more than just a regular trash talk in russian mm. But ngl I cringed hard myself because of his screams. Sorry if the English is bad, just tried to express my opinion

CoD players slinging a constant stream of slurs are also numb to what they're saying but people aren't putting up with that anymore so I don't think the "culture" argument is going to work.
