I love the color of your yarn for the sweater and look forward to the completed project. Love all the socks, of course. We have 3 out of 5 grandsons playing basketball...all three are our daughter's sons. The 8th grader has stayed busy with weekend games and tournaments and has his first school basketball game next week. The other two are in 10th and 12th & play on Varsity together which is so much fun to watch. We have watch many middle school & high school games where the score is close & joke about the need for an AED device available for the parents & fans watching the games.....CLEAR!!! OK, mama...you are good to go to watch you kid play again. LOL! I always have my knitting with me. Our oldest grandson has Senior Night tomorrow (1-24) which means it is his last regular season game he will ever play in high school...he can't be that old!!!

Love the way the yarn color progressed in those socks. Working on my grandson's chunky socks with black cuffs.....I have to use my ott light.....they look cool, but oh that black yarn. ❤️

Oh, my goodness! I am totally smitten by Three by the Sea Designs! I need to order some stitch markers for swaps and such. Our Sit and Knit Group is doing Knitting BINGO this year. Maybe a quarterly prize is in order and these would be perfect.

I’m a football mom and I’m so glad to hear Wyatt is excited to try something new! My oldest is 14 and started playing when he was 4! We’ve had wonderful youth programs and he’ll be a freshman in the fall. My younger boy started last year at 11 years old. He wanted to try and we were nervous because he’s not a natural athlete but he had the same coaches as our older son and we trusted them. By the end of the season he was a starter and earned most improved player. I know tackle seems scary but it’s not, as long as you have a good program and good coaches. I’m sure you’ll find the right fit if Wyatt ever wants to try tackle. I really cannot recommend tackle football for young kids more! The only down side is it’s not a knitting sport. 🤣 Very difficult time knit and watch the game. Football practice on the other hand is perfect for knitting!

Your comment just made my morning! I’ve been really worried about Wyatt doing it because he has never really been a natural athlete. I feel better knowing your son still did well in it. Wyatt has really improved since he started practicing here at the house!

May I ask question about sock blockers...I just finished my first pair of socks n do you block them using the sock blocker or is it used mainly to show socks off while podcasting? Thanks

So far I have not been, I will start alternating when I join the pieces back up and can work in the round.

Love the socks that you make! I keep trying and they are just really small and it could be the tightness of my knitting. Should I try going up a needle?

I would recommend going up a needle size. Or maybe knitting the next size up. How many stitches are you casting on?

What is a vanilla sock?
