I enjoyed the reveal, Drew. I like how you show the backs so we can read them. The ‘57 Ashburn is one of my favorite cards. Another great bunter that comes to mind was Juan Pierre who seemed to always be bunting when I watched him hit. Btw, we got snow in Florida this week so keep the videos coming because I’m staying indoors for a while!

Not only did PSA slap you in the face by rejecting your Boyer- apparently they sent you some extra stickers to preemptively reject your own cards before you send them in! I agree with you if the card hasn’t been altered but rather the way it was rolled off the printing press and cut by Topps it should be graded! I should send my cards to you for grading, Drew- you’re pretty dang accurate! Thanks for sharing 👍❤️

Yeah boy 🎉 Another GREAT ONE! 😂 FANTASTIC returns! How did the Nostradamus of KZbin do? This is the unofficial box score of your 27 card PSA reveal. 1 card came back ungraded, and one card (Ron Jackson) you had no guess. 9 guessed correctly and 16 misses. From the 16 misses...10 graded higher than you predicted...which in my book are WINS. 36%. I'll be on the lookout for Henry Foiles at the KC card show this weekend. Keep growing your collection, Card Farmer

Hey Drew, congrats on the grades. It is nice when some of your cards exceed expectations. Well done. My two favorites from this group are the Joe Collins and Ransom Jackson. The Dodgers and Yankees cards most signify that era. I didn’t know Randy Jackson’s first name was Ransom until you flipped the card over.

Overall, I am very happy with the grades. There are so many nuggets of information on the back of these cards. That is one potential pitfall of buying sharp raw cards at a show. You never know if the dealer themselves got a min size.

Fantastic reveal Drew, I can’t remember seeing so many 5s,6s,and 7s for cards from the 1950s. You have a great eye my friend! Pinson’s 59 may be his best card! I have the same frustration with minimum sized cards, if that is how they came from the factory they should get a grade!

Great video Drew! I love seeing these PSA reveals. Beautiful vintage cards. So the Ken Boyer card they say is too small is that the issue?? Overall I’m guessing you like PSA? I’ve been debating sending in some cards but I feel like the price is a little high. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend. Be well. 🤙 26:19
@CleanCheapShotsКүн бұрын
They say the Boyer card is too small. Cards that came from vending boxes were often cut a little small, which should not be a big deal. If it is authentic, then grade it. I would watch to see when PSA has their specials before sending them in. It is not the same price for each type of card and the prices vary depending the age of the card too sometimes. Thank you sir.
@justyouraveragegeeks5 сағат бұрын
@ Ok got it. Thanks for the info/heads up. That’s crazy about the card. Like you said just grade it if it’s not a fake! 🤙
@Vintage_Dave_TКүн бұрын
Yeah, I like the 3.5 Foiles card better. Much better color. I don’t get why PSA doesn’t slab min size cards. They often put qualifiers on cards with stains and marks; so why don’t they put a grade and a qualifier on cards with min size? That’s a nice Dick Donovan card. First card I ever remember seeing is his 1957 card. Carlos Paula first black player to integrate the Washington Senators. Just love those 56s. Of course I love the 57 Ashburn. Nice card. Thanks for sharing, Drew.
@CleanCheapShotsКүн бұрын
That is a good point I had no considered. Why not slab it and put the qualifier of min size on it. Great suggestion. This summer, I hope to film a video in Ashburn's home town. Thanks for swinging in.
@Vintage_Dave_TКүн бұрын
@ Great! I look forward to that video. All the best.
@Dcollection3 күн бұрын
That’s a bummer about the Boyer. You continue to do a great job cornering the market on all 1953 cards, haha. I didn’t see the mark on the Jackson either. Where do you fall on qualifiers as a collector? Really nice submission, Drew!
@CleanCheapShots3 күн бұрын
I was pretty bummed about Boyer as well. That is twice I have had a Boyer turned away. I might be a little addicted to the 1953 set. Yikes. As to qualifiers, I avoid them. In large part because I like to compete with the set registry that PSA has. Otherwise, if I wasn't doing the registry, there are some great cards you could get at a much cheaper price. Thanks D.
@macwaxxstacks3 күн бұрын
I always like watching these Drew. Richie Ashburn outta the great state of NEBRASKA! What county number would be on his license plate?
@CleanCheapShots3 күн бұрын
Nice try BK. That depends on where his farm was or what part of town he may have lived in. Why you ask, well the town was split in half or nearly half by two counties. But to your question, for Mr. Ashburn, 7 is the answer.
