GCSEs are like SATs in the UK. Its an exam we take at age 16 that are used in our future job applications and that. We leave "high school" aka Secondary school in the UK at age 16. Great reaction, yes Niall is very Irish 😂😂. The way the education system works in the UK is you start school at 4 and leave at 16, you then go to college until your 18 (can be longer). You have to be in full time education until you’re 18. Then university after you’ve finished college. GCSE’s are the exams you take just before you leave school. These are the grades used when you want to get on certain courses/subjects at college and getting jobs. Thanks for the video 😁🙏🏼

Niall is from the Republic of Ireland (Southern Ireland), which is NOT part of the UK. Their education system is different to the UK. It's Northern Ireland which is part of the UK

One Direction did not perform has a group in the auditions, all 5 did not get through has solo artists. Judges decided to make 2 groups out of the eliminated soloist. A 4 member girl group & a 5 member boy group and put them straight through to the judges house. One Direction first song together was a cover of Natalia Imbruglia's TORN at Simon's house. He put them through to the live X Factor shows. React to X Factor performances

Is because Liam, Niall & Harry audition highlights was on the main X Factor show on ITV1, the producers decided to give them a longer highlights on that specific episode they were on. I think Zayn, Louis & Harry went to the same Manchester audition but they only showed clips of Zayn & Louis on ITV2 on the sister network.

In the uk u finish school when ur 15/16, and your GCSEs are the exams you work towards and your grades in your GCSEs basically decide if you can go to college and university and that and sometimes even work place’s. And there’re extremely hard like for English only you have to learn and memerise 2 books, 1 Shakespeare play and 15/16 poems.

This is there solo auditions. we can When they were not chosen in the boot camp, Simon decided to put them together as a group. After they were formed as a group they were sent to the judge's house where in the judge's would choose who will go for the live shows.

college in the uk is high school for them and then university is their "college" also, they never auditioned as a band, xfactor eliminated them as solo artists and then decided all 5 of them would be good together as band, the rest is history

College in the UK is like the same age a juniors and seniors. What Americans call “College” is known as “University” in the UK

college/sixth form (age 16-18) in the UK is the same as junior and senior year in the US, where students get A Levels in usually 3/4 subjects before they go to university (or college in the US). GCSEs are what students complete at 16 (sophomore year) where they take exams in around 10 subjects and begin to realise what they want to do for university.

You should watch their full X-factor journey. There's a longer and shorter version of it. The shorter version is about 30min and only have the song performances. You easily see their improvement from week to week. I found it more interesting to watch more of course. Yes, shows like X-factor can't show all auditions that's why we never really saw Zayn and Louis. The production have to choose which ones to focus on. And the UK audience knew Liam already so that was a given. Harry is a natual charmer so it's easy to see why they focused on him. Same with Niall really. I believe Zayn and Louis might have been on the same audition as Harry. Not sure though. I have only seen youtube clips of their journey and there are one that had many, many parts where you can see a lot of behind the scenes and X-tra factor which was an after show or something with interviews, games and fun. I've seen them all. Oh, and the video diaries they did each week on X-factor. I think they are still on here.
