The media continuously labelled Selena as "Justin Bieber's girlfriend/ex-gf)" which Ariana Grande called it out "call her by her name, not some men's possession!" Now Selena is a bigger celebrity than Justin, she's more acknowledged for her musics and character, also her venturing into cosmetic line.

They (Jelena) were on again / off again for like give or take nine years. They were each others first love and all, but ultimately they hurt each other so much to the point where the level of baggage and toxicity that relationship held was downright unhealthy. Selena has said she's not proud of things she's done/said in that relationship either, but at the end of the day Justin cheated on her several times and she kept that under wraps for while before finally going 'lol fuck it' and just calling him out on it. Then there were all the songs that were made (both of them did this), he literally got her face tatted on him, she dated other ppl, he dated other ppl, but they were that couple that you kinda just thought 'they'll drift back together eventually' and honestly the whole relationship was just a clusterfuck. It didn't exactly help that the media publicized the hell out of them. She deserved better and he needed to grow up. Thankfully they both seem to be in better places now.

Demi is weird tbh. I really don't understand what goes on in her head and why she sees selena as a person she used to know before and doesn't want to stay with anymore. Like every interview she does and somebody ask about their relationship she says "we're not friends", says that she feels "weird" reposting Selena's Instagram story praising her Grammy performance and now she said a few weeks ago that they both have a "conflict" while in reality she's the who distanced herself, became friends with selena's ex's and is carrying a one sided beef.. selena on the other hand is one of the first few people who checks in on her whether it's her in hospital because of her od, or her after a breakup ( like her latest one with max). I'm glad Selena doesn't stays on social media and leaves asap after posting whatever she wants cause girly might get hurt if she sees what her once used to be best friend thinks about her
