This board is good, but one thing you need to be careful about is that when you turn on the led too bright, the keyboard can become extremely hot, pcb may be damaged, and this is not good at all

The board is originally the FK680 Pro, costing about 50 usd on taobao if you live near china and have acess to it. there seems to be a black version comming up as well
@YBBK2 жыл бұрын
I was expecting someone to comment on the price of this. As good as $50 on taobao may seem, shipping/import fees is usually very expensive and can range from $20-30. In addition, once shipped, you are basically on your own as post purchase customer service is nearly nonexistent. (Speaking from my experience) I personally would be fine with ordering off taobao, however Im sure most people would prefer ordering it from epomaker as it’s a more well rounded experience overall. I’d say the mark up is some what reasonable
@corecombat262 жыл бұрын
@@YBBK Yea its a reasonable price to pay for those who lives in the west, plus there will be some sort of customer service. For south east asian the shipping is like 5-10 usd, so if one were to live in the area id recommended getting one from the source

What are the commands to change rgb?? What keys would u use also how would qmk work on this
@barrylinkiewich9688 Жыл бұрын
It's a nice board but that case fitment issue would be a deal breaker for a lot of new folks, or people who just aren't handy. Hopefully it's just a one-off issue that won't affect most boards.
@YBBK Жыл бұрын
Yeah my guess was that the pcb or case was a bit warped resulting in the issue. Like you said, hopefully a one off issue! Though in my opinion, it’s things like that that make building keyboards fun, encountering unexpected issues and finding ways to solve them. It’s just satisfying for me at least lol 😂

would a dremil be able to make the holes in the pcb without damaging it so that screw mount stabs would be installed directly. then there would be no need for a plate at all?

How do the clones compare to actual gmk shoko?
@doobynooby53732 жыл бұрын
As someone that has both they dont look similar at all, the clones are much darker color and the letter keycaps are more of a white whereas the gmk is a blueish tint. I'm not sure if the ones in this vid look lighter because of filter/editing or if these clones are different from the ones I bought, but mine certainly dont look like that (i got mine from aliexpress)
@YBBK2 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry for the late reply! Since I don't have the real set, dooby nooby definitely offers more knowledge than me lol. But as I said in the video, for the price, they really aren't bad at all!
@doobynooby53732 жыл бұрын
@@YBBK epomaker clones seem to be much better though, I checked my clone and I believe mine are pbt not abs and dont have the same doubleshot mold. So these clones may be more color accurate (tbh from the vid they look really close to gmk that even i was surprised). My aliexpress clone was balf the price of this epomaker one though and I got it a while ago back when clones was first starting to be a thing so it's possible mine just suck lol

Thanks so much for this review! I saw this up on Epomaker's website but was fence sitting on whether to buy it or not. One quick question I had was whether the RGB lighting is adjustable to the degree of the minicat 64 (my first build). Can you adjust the per key and case lighting and are there color saturation options?
@YBBK2 жыл бұрын
Glad I could help you out! Regarding lighting, as mentioned in the video, it cannot be controlled via software. You are left with the pre install lighting settings. They can be changed by per key and back lighting by using key shortcuts (per key and backlighting can be controlled separately) Im pretty sure you cant control the saturation but you can control the brightness level ans change colours.

If you have ever reviewed Akko Acr 67. How would you compare them actually?
@YBBK Жыл бұрын
I haven’t review the acr 67 but currently I would recommend the 680 over it. This is for three main reasons, the 680 has cnc case, south facing sockets and qmk/via support which the acr doesn’t have. However, if you are a beginner, the acr 67 will provide an overall better user experience (more accessories, better customer support, more premium packaging) My suggestion is that you wait as akko is refreshing their acr series and brining the features i mentioned earlier to their boards.
