Mods:
-- Noico 80Mil Sound Dampener. This mod helps with weight, vibrations and deeper/ fuller sound profile.
-- Light amount of shredded memory foam (Adds a creamier sound signature)
-- 2-Layer tape mod (Deeper sound signature)
-- Pe Foam Mod. (Poppier sound signature)
-- Hand Lubed Switches (superior consistency and smoother feel)
-- Akko cream Blues V3s/ Pros (Depends on overall feel and sound when tested) on all stabs
-- Mixture of of 19.5mm / 22mm springs for crispier, faster and more responsive typing experience.
-- Plus, carefully selecting switches based on smoothness and feel for the stabilizers is important.
-- Switched stock stabilizers for Epomaker plate-mounted stabilizers as we felt the quality of the stock was very subpar.
-- Manually balanced all wires
-- Hole-modded all stabs and lubed with GPL 205g0 for the wires, stems and housing. This mod cuts virtually all rattle and ticking.
-- Spacebar and backspace have Noico Dampener for a "thockier", less hollow and fuller sound profile.
The blues from akko are pretty much identical compared to its sibling the yellow, but they are a bit "louder" and are tactile, also on the clackier side of the "creamy" spectrum.
After our brief break, we decided to step up our hobby game and delve deeper into refining our switch options, stabilizer tuning, and switch lubrication. What's more, we've fine-tuned our modding approach prioritizing the switch, allowing the switches to sound as genuine as possible given the "budget" constraints. The result is a solid alternative if a full 75% CNC anodized aluminum kit is not an option.
The TH-80 from Epomaker, which, when fully modded, serves as a more budget friendly alternative. It's a great south-facing plastic keyboard option that offers a premium experience akin to a full CNC aluminum kit, but at a mere fraction of the cost. However, we strongly recommend swapping out the default plate-mounted stabilizers, which we found to be lacking in quality. For this, the Epomaker plate mounted stabs available on Amazon make an excellent budget replacement.

Couple mods, it was roughly 2-3 months of experimenting to make get the formula right. I posted everything on the description. Stabs are very tricky to get right so I would suggest following everything I did step by step.

Please type properly :(( you have such a good keyboard but stop pressing the spacebar with your index finger and press it with your thumb. Your three other fingers on the right hand aren't doing anything either. Trust me on this one you will not regret learning how to type properly in the future

Learning as I progress! Thanks for input, I’ve tried typing with my thumb but it does feel uncomfortable. Perhaps I just need to adapt to it.

@@milkyboards yes it takes quite some time to get used to! I used to type improperly, using index, not using the correct fingers for each key etc. Now after a couple months you will fully get used to it and you will definitely 100% see a big improvement in both your typing speed and your accuracy. When my technique wasn't as good as now, I would average around 80 to 90 words per minute on typing tests. But now with proper technique and months of "training", I can reach up to 140 to 150 words per minute. I hope you didn't take my initial comment too personally! I wish you good luck on your typing journey + post more videos please!
