This was THE BEST explanation of EPP I have ever seen, thank you so much. Nicely paced and demonstrated this is an hour well spent. Compliments to Jeff also for his camera work ensuring we can see exactly what you are doing. I can now do a knicker knot without getting my own knickers in a knot! Liked, subbed and rang your bell. Off to check out some of your other videos.

Omg ! Just discovered you,and my brain freeze/ block has started melting,I was so frightened not knowing how to do EPP without breaking the rules ( it’s weird as I sort of have to be told what to do) I’ve absolutely adored EVERYTHING about your explanations ,and the way it now all sort of has come together to make sense and make me more confident in having a go. Can’t Thank you enough 😘🇬🇧,have subscribed and definitely after breakfast going to have a go.

Loved this, thank you!!! Capi, thank you for your patience in stitching and teaching the knicker knot love that too! I watched the first flosstube of your shop and she mentioned that you liked wool and EPP. I love hand stitching (my quilting is all handpieced and quilted - not that I have many). I'm slower than molasses, lol. I can't sew on machine with the quilts - that would shock my grandmother that made many a quilt for us and she has been gone for 30+ years. So, the serendipity club, can you explain (I live in S. La., so no dropping in for a visit for me). I really enjoyed this visit.

Hand quilting is a great treasure! Serendipity are subscription boxes that are hand selected by members of our staff that are very proficient in that technique. They hand curate a project for you to complete! The box contains those things to make that project!

A method I’ve used for registration is to cut out the original piece I want then use that as a template by lining up every little detail until you can’t tell the hexagon is laying in the fabric. Then you can use a removable pen to mark.

For those who are right handed: An easier way to thread your needle is to pinch one end of the thread with your thumb and index finger of your LEFT hand. Pull the loose, tail end, backwards between your fingers, so that only a tiny little end is visible. Hold the needle with the thumb and index finger of your RIGHT hand. Think of the needle being in control, not the thread. If you only left an 1/8th of an inch of thread exposed. Push the ‘eye’ of the needle over the thread. With practice, you will be able to do it on your first try, every time.

Well, quarter inch triangles were a bummer, but the stars they made were super! Plus, I learnt how to do a “ flat stitch “ to join them, much easier, another you tube video! Doesn’t show ANY stitches on the front, nice 👍
