Effectiveness: CVTs typically have weaker engine braking compared to manual, DSG, or torque converter transmissions because of their design, which prioritizes smoothness and fuel efficiency over resistance. Engine braking works in CVT transmissions, but it's generally weaker compared to torque converters or DSG gearboxes due to the CVT's focus on smoothness and efficiency. 1. Normal Mode: Engine braking is subtle as the CVT adjusts ratios for minimal drag. 2. Sport/Manual Modes: Simulated "gears" or paddle shifters enhance engine braking. 3. Downhill Driving: Modes like "Low" or "B" provide stronger engine braking by holding lower ratios. While effective, CVT engine braking feels smoother but less responsive compared to DSG or torque converter systems.

Good explanation Torque converter is more reliable and best for city drive here using planetary gear system so that gear changing was seamless But manual and AMT gear boxes using synchro mess gear system
