Just watched 1-7. Living this series. Love the banter between you and Chris. Keeps it a little lighthearted. I ordered the book. Can’t wait. Wish I could visit the mansion. (Or do I? 😮). Just wish there were cameras. Do you still go to the mansion? Are there updated stories? I’m recommending you to many. Good job. Oh and I love the song at the end.

Hi there, sorry for the delay. I didn't see your response. I don't go there much now. I'm not an employee of B.H. so I can't just walk inside like I did. There are a few new stories that come out, told to me by the rangers! Thank you for taking the time to watch the episodes. Glad you like the song. It's from my best friend, Bill Rotella. His links are listed below the episode if you care to hear more of his songs!

Last comment I promise! To verify Clete's accurate info about the historic rooms of the mansion that were torn out to build a new kitchen - there were a total of five, plus a bathroom and hall and part of the service entry room. This part of the mansion included a spacious yet also cozy, gorgeous, room with wood paneling where servants could relax and look out lead glass windows at the (then) beautifully landscaped east slope which contained waterfalls and ponds at the time. Along with the other rooms, they were built with the family's high standards for construction, materials, and durability. The total square footage of these rooms / areas were around (or possibly over) 1,600 square feet. One can easily see this by comparing the original and the current plans of the first floor! -- from a floor plan-aholic.

Maybe the howling that the catering team heard was somehow coming all the way down from the weird area near the attic door on the second floor landing? The sound is so unusual compared to the other experiences people have had regarding Ned Doheny or Hugh Plunkett, but I think some have had experiences in that space on the second floor that sound more like chaotic howling? Not sure...

What shame to destroy that original kitchen.

You need Chris and everyone knows that Clete. You'd be lost...or worse. Hate ta think. A Friend

It sounds like they ruined the original mansion by altering some of the rooms. Everything in the mansion should have been restored to its original brilliance and character. So sad. The people who tour it are being duped.

I agree. It should never have been altered; it is very unfortunate.
