OH MY GOD. You saved me from taking it to Service. The shutter wasn't pushed all the way. It's strange though, as I hadn't touched it in over 2 years.

I will look at your other videos as I am looking for a solution for my Benq MP610 - very dim blue display, no start screen, no focus possible becaue no image. Already replaced lamp. Shutter sensor, I had the same issue and while this video did not help me solve the issue, I understood what he meant after I fixed mine. There is a small sensor that needs to register that the lens cover is completely open. If it is not, the display will just be blank white.

Make sure your video cables(HDMI or VGA) are connected correctly to the projector

The slider on the top front of the projector is called AV Mute. It needs to be fully open to function the menu. same with EB-X11 and X12 models
