I'd like to note that printer profiles when printing are extremely important for color accuracy. Different paper types require different printer profiles. Some paper companies (like Red River Paper) have printer profiles specifically for the ET-8550 and their papers. If you haven't tried their paper, I highly recommend doing so! :)

I will definitely give them a try. Thanks for the tip!

Inkjet's needs paper with coating. The dullness happens when you use uncoated paper (usually for laser printers) and the ink dissipates into the paper. Laser printers don't need coating as the toner is solid dry particulates.

I know that you said it can take up too 300 GSM, but what is the thickest paper that you have used pt wise? GSM and Pound can vary in the true thickness of the paper. 300gsm can vary from 14pt-18pt. Just wondering. Thank you.

I like the chart for your printer. Where did you get it?

Hi! Thank you for the video. I am a bookbinder and I’m considering buying this print for my projects. I have a laser printer as I mostly bind novels or planners (5-15 a month), but considering adding some colours (school books, magazines) or even photo albums, but probably my work will still be 70% just text, 30% graphs and photos. Despite the fact photo will be maybe less than 10% of my work, quality is important to me. Is this printer good for that or only photos? Will I waste ink or time printing novels? I haven’t found anyone talking about text printing on this printer. It’s hard to find information online. Thanks a lot!

What paper do you use for books? I am trying to print a book and would like to know the best paper for it.

I am thinking of purchasing this model but the size on the description worry me. When I see it on your video it looks like the right size. How tall/deep/wide is it all closed up. No tray protruding. No lid up?

Hi, I am looking at purchasing this particular printer but was wondering does it have rear feed?? You mentioned it can take up to 300gsm, I am assuming but want to make sure. Thanks in advance!

Is this ok to use for regular printing as well??

You're using it wrong

Don't take it bad, but that printer can print a lot better than you did. It needs to be used properly, with color profile etc..

Okay cool. I would love to get the quality of the prints better! Will look more into color profile.

@@nperfectplans Do, when you print I suggest you print using the free Epson Print Layout software, and when you print choose the paper colour profile and that printer does not manage colours. Ok this way it will print correctly and I tell you I printed several family photos and art prints and they came out fantastic, like perfect quality exactly as I would see them on my screen. Really awesome results

Your matte paper is upside down. Both sides may look the same, but one side is made for printing and the other is not

You really can't compare a printed page to a backlit computer screen in terms of brightness. That's an inaccurate comparison. I enjoyed the review overall though!

You realize you need proper photo paper to enjoy photo quality?
@nperfectplans8 ай бұрын
Yes you’re absolutely right. I just don’t like the feel and look of photo paper. I really was hoping the cardstock would work well.
@JeanV19868 ай бұрын
@@nperfectplans I understand. You need to try coated paper. It looks just like regular paper, but it produces photo quality. It's great for presentations or work where you don't want a glossy paper but need optimal image quality.

@@JeanV1986 ill definitely give it a try! Thanks for this. Very helpful.

@@nperfectplans you're welcome 😊 just beware that most coated papers are only coated on one side, and it's pretty hard to tell which one 😅 usually, the brighter side is the coated one. Have a nice day.
