thank you. But I have a question, I just loaded the printer with new cartridges and never made a color print. But the color cartridges ran out. How can I print in black only when the color cartridges are empty?

Hi, Jamel - thanks for reaching out. All Epson printers are designed to provide the best quality prints using our cutting-edge printing technology. To ensure quality, Epson printers draw small amounts of ink from all cartridges to keep the print head clear so nozzles don’t clog. While you may only be printing black, some color ink is being used. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

1). Paper feed is fairly dependable & sturdy. 2). Cartridges install pretty easy & leak free, & printer prints razor-sharp right out of the box. (But see #4!) 3). unit is compact & quite attractive, & scanning is a breeze for the most part. (But see #5!) 4). A clearly visible "DO NOT pull clear tape off the cartridge" warning *NEEDS* to be included *ON* the cartridges. *ALL OF THEM.* 5). I absolutely DESPISE not being able to change the title of the scan file prior to scanning. That REALLY sucks a big one. I shouldn't have to go back to the file & change the name after the fact. 6). A far more in-depth manual should be INCLUDED with the unit, or at least available as a download, along with a usb cable. Some of us wish to stick with a cable connection to our computers or only have one computer. (I actually have three, but I only care to print with the one - personal preference.) We at least deserve an on-package heads-up on the usb situation. The three above - listed "pros" are wonderful. The three "cons" that followed are all easily enough remedied on the manufacturer's end. Nice unit over all.

I've added a photo of a photo printed by the printer to show the quality. kzbin.infoUgkx-p39-0aeo2zzlTJzXhwlZ_zUNm1lnIci Many reviews complain about the heavy yellow tone of printed photos; avoid this by editing your photos towards the blue end of the temperature spectrum. I also suggest increasing the exposure a little when editing because photos will print a little dark if you do not.If you follow these steps to edit your photos prior to printing, your photos will look too bright and too blue on your phone but they will print perfectly.Highly recommend!
