Hi Melissa, I have a mac and the f170, love it. I have the sync option and the textile paper or regit option but the other options do not show up when you said more printer settings, I noticed that you didn't have the f170 on the screen to the right, you had the bigger printer so the settings are different and it has more options so some people may think that they have the added options but all printers don't have the exact options. Just my help tip with any confusion because I too said, wait I don't see that option but then I saw the bigger Epsom printer on the right of yr screen and I realized it why I didn't have the same options.

That's b/c that printer is not a purpose built sublimation printer (and is converted) so it does not have access to the same drivers / color profiles as the Epson F170 and F570 which are true sublimation printers

Hello. Great tips. I am wondering if you can help me with a issue I am having. I own a epson surecolor f170 that is printing in a odd way. Like about 1/4 of the beginning of the image prints with a ghosting effect. Double image. Afterwards the remainder of the image prints out perfectly fine. I did run the nozzles cleaning and alignment features on the epson and the results I get from running the quality print test come out perfectly fine. Zero issues. I just find it very odd that only about 1/4 of any image I pring is ghosted while the rest of the image is fine. Do you have any idea why this could be happening? Any advice will help. Thanks!

That is not a sublimation printer nor does it use a sublimation color profiles so I am unable to really help you fix that issue. You'd have to do some trial and error.

Yes the F570 comes with a layout software but it's PC compatible only. If you are using Silhouette Studio to design and layout you dont need it b/c the print manager is accessible from Silhouette Studio as well. That's what I use.

It's difficult to troubleshoot sublimation issues on converted printers b/c those printers were not intended to be used that way so it could be a print head issue or it could be a settings issue. Hard to say

I am find that my green's and purples are not pressing the correct color. What are the settings for a PC? I not seeing the same options. I have Textile or Rigid and under more options I see Automatic or Custom. If I choose custom, under advanced I can choose ICC or no color correction.

I have the same printer and the problem I have is the ribbon came loose and when I do the head cleaning the ribbon came loose and so I called Epson and they told me that it's not under warranty anymore and for me to ship it halfway across the country and so since it's not under warranty anymore do you think I should double tape it like it was

HI, i know this video is kinda old, but i just bumped into it as im trying to find solution to my epson f100 series. I have the same problem. when i print, there's no cyan, so all turquoise comes out blue and gray, comes out brown. so frustrated! i tried doing this video, i am using illustrator to print my image. i followed everything you showed in the printed setting. but when I printed in the paper, the print out came out with turquoise being dark blue again. what could be wrong? is it my adobe illustrator? where else can i print my image? so that the the print out will show the real color from my computer?

Unfortunately this can happen with printers that are converted to sublimation when that's not their intended use. I would recommend if you are selling sublimation products you use a dye sublimation printer so the parts are designed to be use with that ink..and you don't end up voiding the warranty and sacrifice support.

The color profiles are only for the F570 and F170 which are Epson dye sublimation printers.

Hi, I have tried this but it doesn't work. I have Epson f170 and my green and greys are particularly bad...very brown and rose colored. I have done cleanings, checked all the color management you suggested but nothing. Please help..using a mac. I'm about ready to take a sledge hammer to this printer. lol You help would save my sanity. thanks.

I, desperately need help printing accurate colors from F170 Epson printer. My greens keep showing up blue and I have already tried all possible color settings from the driver and even different programs including Silhouette. I am using Windows and like someone here has already mentioned, the driver for F170 does not give so many options. Please help me!

Make sure you're done a nozzle check to ensure you aren't missing any nozzles.

Hi there, I am not totally sure what you mean by printing double. If it is printing two of the same print on one page, I'd check that you don't have the pinter settings to have multiple 'copies'

I converted my epson to a sub printer and they all look so pretty and crisp until I print.. then it’s so dull & not sharp at all. I am new to this.. what am I doing wrong?

Sublimation prints are dull when they print, the colors will pop once pressed. With that said, with converted printers there could be several different things that are causing issues which is why I don't recommend to convert - it's difficult to troubleshoot.

If you don't have those options then you are either not using the Epson Print Manager or you have not selected Color Sync in the Print Manager

That is not a dye sublimation printer so that's why. The F570 and F170 are Epson sublimation printers and those are the printers that will have access to this print manager.
