Epson WF-100 Maintenance box reset?

This video is about the Epson WF-100 Maintenance box.
Epson has equipped many of their printers with maintenance or waste boxes that collects waste ink from cleaning processes etc.
The box is supplied with a chip that keeps track of how many cycles it has been used and after a specific amount of cleaning cycles it stops the printer.
To my knowledge on this specific model, there is no other solution than buying a new maintenance box.
If anyone know of a solution to reset or override the chip, please leave a comment below.

WIC - Waste Ink Pad Counter reset utility for Epson printers: This printer model Epson WF-100, WF-110 is NOT supported by WIC reset utility and its waste ink pads counter CAN'T be reset by WIC Reset Utility. Epson WF-110 has separate maintenance waste ink cartridge with its own IC Chip. So, if waste ink counters overflow - customer has to replace Maintenance Cartridge by new one.

Epsom should be taken to court. They do exactly the same with the ink cartridges which can be reset. If Epsom made printers that did not go wrong so often they might be better employed.

thanks for the very helpful video. I was about to buy this printer but after your video I stopped and I'm thinking of buying the HP portable printer, exactly the 200 or 250 model, which don't have this cartridge but apparently it's not necessary. could you confirm that choosing the HP 200 or HP 250 is better. thank you

I bought a new box and ink and didn't get the chance to use it, It took up all my of ink color and black. the pages are all blank and money wasted. I need this little printer and it did me wonders over the few years and I don't think I need to purchase another but didn't know what to do as well. I see I am not alone. Every time I did a nozzle cleaning etc my ink went bye bye. Kinda upset in need to purchase new ink.

How long did you have it before it went out? Best guess on # of pages printed?

I've the same issue, and my maintenance box filled for the second time now. I don't print that often, and it seemed to fill after maybe 20-30 pages printed--rather unacceptable, in my view.

I'll add, I will now count pages after replacing the maintenance box (unless I find a reset option).

@@willschaefer425 about twenty pages and its full and also my iink i replace it to often and i know theres still ink in it and as for the chip it counts because i refilled my ink and it still wont print saying change cartridge i would love to know how to rerset that chip

Any one want a good deal on a planned obsolescence Epson wf110?... you get to print about 20 (at most) sheets before needing ink, then another 10 sheets before the maintenance box needs to be changed. BTW, why does a printer have a "Maintenance box". just do what they used to do and put a sponge under the ink heads
