I have had a WF 4730 and WF 4740 and have had the same problem with both. When I must change the ink cartridge, I am unable to open the top because it is locked. There must be a simple way to unlock it so that I can change the ink cartridge, but I have called Epson tech service, and they are of no help. Any advice would be truly appreciated

Is there a way to print from tray 2 if I put legal in tray 2 and regular paper in tray 1? Thank you.

Trial and error. I switched the paper up - legal in tray 1 and regular in tray 2. It detects which paper I need and pulls it from the proper tray.

It will only print small pictures with lines that are very visible, & I cannot find a setting for photo paper.

Why did you increase the price of ink for this printer 300%? Now I have to send it to a landfill and buy a new printer that I can afford the ink for. Definitely never buying a Epson again if that's how you treat your customers.

So they really didn’t up the price you just got a good deal that day I bought something for $39 at Amazon a couple weeks ago now it’s $109 the regular price

NEVER buy Epson printers! Updating your printer firmware will BLOCK the use of third-party cartridges so the you'l be forced to buy ONLY expensive Epson brand ink cartridges as a corporate cash-grab for more profitability. It would be cheaper to just throw the printer away and buy a new printer.
