I am a Boys Town alum, and was there from 87-90. I never heard of any sexual improprieties while I was there, or since. All I know is the Boys Town that took me off the streets of St. Louis to a beautiful campus and a beautiful home where I was given the tools to be a productive part of society by a couple I still talk to today. I talk to a lot other alums on a daily basis. Their Alumni Association Scholarship paid for my nursing school. It bugs the fuck outta me when I hear that place gets connected to the Franklin Scandal simply because a world famous children's home just happens to be in the same town. Also, Manson was at Boys Town for less than 24 hours. The lore when I was there was that he was there overnight, stole a pickup truck from the BT farm and was never seen again. Boys Town has improved the lives of thousands of children over the last 108 years and I owe them a lot of credit for who I've become.

@@cordeliadaniels7737that’s not why it’s censored it’s censored because topics like that are not advertiser friendly companies don’t want their brands associated with pedophilia. And KZbin’s monetization system will flag your video if you use the word and you could get demonetized
@aithjawcraig9876Ай бұрын
The excuse is advertisements, but I don't believe that at all (no offense) I think it is absolute hogwash. No site loses revenue from using certain words. In fact, if anything they probably get more hits using controversial language, which is ultimately the only goal advertisers have. So I don't really buy that explanation at all, especially when that was never a concern even 5 or 6 years ago. I think the reality of it is that the word pdf file is censored, because the people who run youtube are pdf files themselves and want to minimize discussion and awareness of them as much as possible. I honestly believe this, and then when the litany of things relating to that came out about Mr. Beast, it all but confirmed what I already knew and suspected. But I'll let you make up your minds yourselves. To me it's glaringly obvious. But oh well.
@aithjawcraig9876Ай бұрын
To be clear, advertisers DO care about their image and brand associations (to a degree) but the word pdf file isn't even a curse word. It's not even a controversial word. There are far more controversial words allowed to be used freely. It Doesn't even really begin to qualify. Advertisors will generally draw a line at things like racism, incitement of violence, etc. Quieting any discussion of the topic is EXACTLY the sort of thing a covert pdf file would do.
