EPZ G10 - The Latest Bad Boy under 40usd

If ever the saying " Came out of no where " was applied adequately, the G10 from EPZ would be the candidate.
EPZ had been around for a while, they know how to tune and their products are very capable.
The K5 is a fantastic hybrid at 120usd, and the same goes for the majority of the other models , but the G10 is a wild one.
Marketed as a gaming headset, who would have guessed it was more than musicaly inclined.
It's single 10mm LCP coated diaphragm in a 3D printed resin shell swept me off my "ears" the moment I heard it.
Great bass with proper note weight , speed and texture, mids capable not only in vocals but also Instruments....timbre and tonality are highly correct and engaging, surpassing many substantially more expensive IEMs and the treble never excessive or harsh, just the perfect amount of twinkles and sparkles.
Technically it leaves nothing to be desired for its price tag of 35usd and all I can confidently say is that it joins that select few sub 40usd "references" quite adequately, Tripowin Piccolo, Blon HBB Z300, TinHiFI C2.

Well I got my g10 and my txs. G10 is excellent, txs will be gifted to my nephew lol. Also penon responded, now I just have to wrap up my anniversary in protection (just the iems no box or accessories) and ship em off and they’ll send me a new set once I give them a tracking number. Hopefully my package won’t be beat up this time by dhl.

Do you think you could get a review unit of the U6T ? I'm starting to consider it over the Neon Pro or the SR8, but I would like to see more reviews first (specially because it's almost double the price).....

Won't be easy....mi have some great friends that loan me some expensive gear but I can tell you one thing. I doubt that the U6T has enough to justify its price over the Neon Pro or SR8 The reason is simple...I have compared the NP and SR8 extensively with many TOTL sets, Anole VX......Penon Impact.....TXN DEST Ti......QDC Tiger and they hold their own very very well, actually surpassing some of the sets I just mentioned on more than one ocassion. So to be honest, you can't go wrong with NP or SR8, it is all down to your preferences. By the way consider the L8s and EPZ 530......these two are unbelievably good for the price!!!!

@@akros9333 Ok, so, between the L8s and the Penon Serial, which are about the same price, which one do you like the best and find it more "musical" ? I don't care about techs, I leave that to my EJ07M, I just want a secondary set that's more "musical" and perhaps do midbass a little bit better/with a little bit more impact than the 07M.

Yo akros which iem should I get under $30? Almost all the time I'm listening to rock, punk, metal, indie rock, and other times I'm just invested into hip hop east and west coast, some pop, blues, jazz and even some classical. Basically multi genre person but tilted more towards the punk rock and indie rock side of things. Would love a good rec from you!

@@akros9333 kiwiears dolce not available sadly in my local shop... could go for the d-fi non switch. Worth buying zvx for a backup or should I buy two d-fi's? (one for outside use and other for computer)

@@reversicle212x and dfi are different enough, the dfi is more neutral/bass boosted and the zvx being more v shaped, but a more mature tuned v shape. At least the switch dfi has that tuning, with the first 3 switches each giving 1db. I prefer uddd, it’s very clean sounding like a budget Olina, but more body to it than the salnotes zero.

I recently bought the EPZ K1 because I read good reviews, nothing could be further from the truth. It's been a while since I heard anything so bad. I think saying bad is falling short. with unbearable high Chinese as if you had pins in your eardrums. Agreed, the K1 is junk: the K5 is much more acceptable, having 4 BAs instead of the single. I learnt a long time ago to ignore reviewers opinions, check a published graph and compare it with a graph of something you like, and then make an informed decision on the purchase, or not.
