I Love that , the low is where you can ; “Fill a room, you can move the dance floor, you can get a booty shaking ,or you can ruin the band” 😁 Another great point about the treble for bass too. It’s kinda like , as a guitar player some aggressive mids helps you cut through the live band mix . So you would treat the highs the same way on bass.

Speaking of doobie, where is THAT emoji? Seriously, very helpful information. Start with setting your eq correctly, then add some other things - IF Needed at all. A mid-scooped sound really only fits well with a P bass for a decent pop-punk sound IMO. It has it's place, but is very one dimensional.
