This is my favorite channel dude you are so badass keeping this game in the light like you do this was my first MMORPG and it’s nice seeing other people that have the same connection to this game. Even after playing other MMORPG games WOW, ESO etc. Nothing will ever give me the feeling that EQOA did. I have a laptop but idk nothing about computers so I’m also wondering will my laptop run this game..

It was never a big deal back then no one cared. Since they are willing to pay for everything legit and have all those consoles, who gives a shit. The only people who bitched were the ones who wanted their xp spot. It's comical to hearing someone express stronger feelings than I ever heard anyone say back in the OG days.

Yeah, he left like 20 comments on it too. Hasn't showed up to this one yet. Had about 3-4 people angry about the video, which honestly shocked me, i had no idea anyone gave a crap about it so much lol. From the looks of it, it's a jealousy issue. Which is strange because anyone is free to make a petter class. But the people who don't want to do that, get jelly over those who choose to. . . and we're a community of 30 and 40 year olds lol. 😂

This is how i feel. But things like bandits, df, crocs you know heavy hit areas, just dont do it there. It crosses a respectful player threshold.

That's right, which 95% of the time they do. Like i said to avoid trains, and avoid any drama. It takes a while to find an out of the way place for your level. I can understand someone training if a group of AFK petters are in a hotly contested camp. Which in Sandstorm is never the case since our population is very low.

I've had so much fun just roaming around and completing quests of races that I had never played before. I actually avoided using the dashboard for as long as possible to really savor the moment. The game is great and I'll treat it like a fine wine.

While I detest the act of boxxing in an mmo I also don’t feel the need to complain much because it doesn’t impede my ability to play the game most of the time. I just view that person as an npc in-game and continue to play solo. Usually that person isn’t even going after the same stuff as me anyway.

Still hope can hang out one day on something. I'm drama free cause I'm 42 I don't need that. I'm just tired anymore my life's changed since I watched my dad die in front of me two years ago. Decided then on that day I'm living stress free and drama free. I play chilled relaxed videogames. Waiting on V rising and 7 days to die ps5 version. Still love pso even after all this time its never old for me as its my first onlinr experience. Ive met great people. Some bad folks like the nol guys or pk folks. But i never let it get to me

PSO is still a great game, i still like PSU as well. But yeah even on private servers for old games you have socially retarded people who can't act right lol.

@@EQOAnostalgia I always enjoyed PSO, PSU, and even PSO2. I played PSO2 all of last year. I mostly stuck with classic PSO2, not the New Genesis version. The only thing about PSO2 I didn't like is how time-consuming the UI was to navigate. It took about 8 times hitting the enter key to log in, because of all the menus after the other menus. And if you got multiple characters, you're gonna be looking at menus for a while. lol

I grew up playing Asheron's Call, the king of AFK XP games. I learned at a young age that an opinion on the matter is simply a waste of time/energy. Multiboxing is an issue because it seems like the sense of identity was completely lost once it became prevalent. I miss the days when the people you met had 1 single identity behind 1 main character and were actually proud of the identity they created online. Without that pride of who you forged yourself to be, the MMO concept started to fall apart.

The fact that people legit feel negative towards afk petters is funny to me. It will be the same people who would want exp boon in the game I bet, which i like too lol but it counters the "they getting more exp than others who are playing 100%". It will be the same people to train people which is actually a "do not" rule. At the end of the day its a fine mechanism to do like multiboxing. Matter of fact, its not 100% easy. It takes time to set up so that your character does not die, find a camp that is far away from everyone so that it removes volatility, because it requires absolute stability to perform.

Yeah that's true, i hadn't thought about boon lol. But you're probably right. Also yeah, it's not so cut and dry to find a good spot for afk exp or boxing. It takes a good bit of time to scout out areas for each level.

the game ultimately died because ps2 servers got shut down. it was a matter of time.

In part, but according to Michelle Butler it was due to the credit card changes that added the 3 digit code on the back of the cards. Their servers were not setup for that method, so instead of developing it, they simply shut it down. Which is absolutely ridiculous if true, and i still think it's a cop out personally. I think they were just over it.

Its so disruptive.hard to imagine having a 1k level toon in a game that has a level cap of 50 lol. And it was released nearly 21yrs ago, it didnt close down 21 yrs ago as mentioned in the video lol.

She was referring to the champion point system. Its your post 50 progression system in eso, it goes to 3600. Same as the class mastery system in EQOA.

The Mrs was talking about ESO smart ass lol. Edit: Like Clark said it was the champion point sytem. The cap was 60 if you are referring to EQOA btw, and it came out 21 years ago. When you're recording a video and trying to move the conversation along at a brisk pace, people misspeak. Hindsight is 20/20.
