✔️ Option Buying Get It Right!: Essential Step-by-Step Guide to Become Successful

Hello Mr. Murugan Considering a 30-50 point move in the underlying I would choose to buy ATM > ITM > OTM options in the same order of preferance. Reason: Deltas for the respective strikes will be higher making it more probable than the other strike and the same reason for IV to work in the Buyer's favor. Also, most of the time ATM strikes have a relatively higher gamma facilitating in rigorous move in the ATM's delta and eventually the premiums. A 30 - 50 point move in the underlying will change in premiums in ATM - 120% (Best buy, little to high premiums, more probable to work in our favor) OTM - 130%(Cheap, less premium, less probable) ITM - 80-90% (Costly, higher premiums, most probable) This is according to my level of understanding sir, do correct me if I'm wrong. Murugan if you assume Stop loss @25 each trade then capital required will be 45x25x75-- comes to 84300 approx for 45 losing trades.,It appears you have calculated the trade without stop loss,that means one should hold the trade till expiry,is it so ?

There is big flaw in the logic. Entire concept is based on winning probability of 55 percent. If spot expires in the money, it does not mean that you will make money . In the above example, if spot expired between 14000 and 14120, which counts in winning probability but actually you are loosing.

In index options nothing happens as it I cash settlement. But in stock options, currently physical settlement is followed. Hence if it is ITM, depending upon your option and side, you need to take or give shares at strike price

near expiry only ITM ATM have a chance of profit if directional bet is correct. After expiry even OTMs will make money if the directional bet is right

Nifty is currently trading above 14000, the bullish trend is intact but we don't know how long it extend. It's better we can have Bull spread or modified butterfly strategy

I chose 13800 ITM winning propability=74% max.loss in 26 trades = 26*75*264=514800 i took 60 % accuracy and max loss is 308880 for winning 74 trades the breakeven should greater than 56+264=315RS. sir considering theta decay ,how can we expect this 264rs premium to not lose value until the index moves 56 points,

Sir when you're talking delta as a probability of winning then we know in the money option has a delta of 90 to 95 percent but if market moves against our direction then there also we are losing the money even we have a delta of 80 to 90 percent

I agree with you sir.. so we should not consider the strike price alone, we need to get the break point as well. Even if you take the deep in the money option, the bep is slightly above the current level. Hence the probability will not be below 80 or 90%.
