Just a little tip: since the floor of the stable is out of concrete you could consider putting rubber mats there to make it less hard to stand and sleep on, underneath the bedding you already use :) it's cheap but very comfy for the horses. Love love love the video!

Unfortunatley rubber mats can cause ammonia build up. It's heavy work to lift the mats and clean them. I have done so myself, it's not as healthy as you think.

We used to call ours in when I was kid. They knew which stall was theirs. I'm useless at catching horses because of it.

My daughter always put on lead rope and halters (buckled) and led them out. I just opened the gates and they ran into paddock or field, depending on the season. She used to get irritated at me, but hey...it was a great time saver! Then at night they would bring themselves in and go into their correct stall - highly motivated by the grain awaiting them!

That's funny. You should try a halter and lead then click to get kids where you want them . Then give them some candy treats. That's what I do and now I'm trying to get them to jump over fences. Kds love it and great exercise .

If only I could do that with this 1 kid I work with. Sadly he is autistic and hits my horse when riding him and his parents allow him to go into the paddock with other horses to see the fishes and fallen in there once while I was signing a few things. Honestly knygiujyhgf. I can tell him to get out but he doesn't listen to me, only the coaches.May end up taking my horse out of there since he is usually quiet but gets stressed when hit :/ -grabs halter- Lets go kid

I do the same thing, my mum get so annoyed at me because I click at the dogs and the cat, but am so used to doing it I can't stop it, it's forever going to be a thing I do no matter what lol I hate having the really big hay bales that are almost the same size as you, I love the small ones, maybe a little annoying if you have lots of horses but I just find them so must better to work with.

maybe a little tip for the halters when you bring them outside, i see that you don't close them witch is okay don't get me wrong but it is a little smarter to clip the clip on the ring where you put the leadrope on 2, that way the clip can't swing in there eyes when they walk or scare :)
