This video was very helpful so thank you for putting it out there! I just imported a four year old turning five Friesian/Dutch cross for learning dressage after a 10 year break. My past riding was jumpers so dressage is all new to me. I’m learning a lot from your videos. Please keep them coming! I’m definitely “over horsed” and having a hard time riding him forward but I’m blessed to have a great trainer at my barn and people like yourselves online to learn from.

Gosh, India, it's commendable how you have overcome such heartache, mistrust & and nervousness; having been missold your bolting horse. I've experienced 'bolters', it's extremely scary. You have shown great courage and determination by continuing your equestrian journey🎉 As much as I love horsey content, who doesn't love a wedding? ❤ You both are clearly meant to be together, and your love for each other is wonderful to see🤗 So, it's a "yes" from me to seeing wedding content🤗 Hopefully you will get more than 4 "yeses"😂 (to those who haven't ever seen Britain's Got Talent - apologies).

Some great advice on buying horses. We bought an Irish Sport Horse ( rare in Canada) a year ago and he is such a confidence giver. I have European warmbloods ( KWPN, Hanoverian, Latvian), but have now fallen for the Irish horses.

@@nellafrosst6453 They’re great horses aren’t they! I can’t say I have any experience outside of Babs with Irish Sport Horses, but she is a real confidence giver for me and has the best heart 😊

I really loved how much Henry questioned you over your experience with buying the wrong horse. As it's fab to not only raise awareness, but also for some of us to realise we weren't alone in overhorsing ourselves with a fancy dressage bred horse. I had a very similar experience over covid and like you, it broke my heart to sell him because I fell in love with him as a person. But I was completely alone and overhorsed with no professional help and a huge confidence knock.

We see it all the time and don’t want people to go through it. Professional aftercare can make such a huge difference to what can or can’t work but if you’re not lucky enough to have it then it’s even more important you buy something accordingly! 😊

Oh India you have no idea how much I relate coming back to riding as an adult after stopping in my teens and over horsing myself with my first adult horse. Very similiar being very upfront and honest about ability etc and he has just been alot of horse and taken alot of help with professional trainer/coach to work through. To say it was an emotional roller coster was an understatement 😂
