When I was 12 years old, my horse was an Appendix Quarter horse. We jumped over everything that didn't move! I always thought that it was as close as I was ever going to get to flying. Jumping, at least for me, was the ultimate partnership between me and my horse.

You were so brave! And Pauline is such a beautiful horse, very elegant. And she was flying over the jumps. You could see how much fun you had! I am beyond grateful this place also offers horse riding for people with special needs. That’s very close to my heart. Thank you so much for taking us along a beautiful ride!

Oh my! You looked so good on Pauline! This mare is not only stunningly beautiful but so well trained and prepared. The owner is a true horse expert through and through! Respect for her achievements as a breeder and as a manager of such an excellently maintained stable🫶🐎🍀

Pauline, kristen's gorgous horse has already many wins in 1,3m. She remember me rhe irish vet, showjumper, holly lenahan, who also is competing with two ISH horses from her own breed. It must be fantastic to compete with a horse that you bred yourself.😊

I did quite a bit of trail riding when I was younger. I had a Quarter Horse/Tennessee Walking Horse cross who absolutely loved to jump natural obstacles. The first time we jumped over the spring (instead of going through it), I was totally surprised -- I didn't know he could jump like that. I loved it!

Amazing horses, i think i can compare them with the ISH irish sport horses, also wonderfull showjumpers. A few weeks ago the horse bishops quarter jumped over 2m25 in dublin, ireland. 😊

It is so interesting that you are not used to jumping ! I guess it is not as much of a basic thing in the US ? I'm not half the rider you are but in Europe (at least in France) you begin to jump from the beginning of your riding years. Really interesting.
@darkiee69
@darkiee69 10 ай бұрын
I think that goes for most of Europe. We don't have the same working horses and riding style as they do in the US where it's more about western riding and probably more trail riding than show jumping.

I grew up barrel racing but always wanted to jump. My parents bought a horse, Buddy, for me to train for barrels when I was 13 and he was 3 and I even bought an English saddle with the intent of learning to jump, but it never came to fruition. I had many amazing memories on Buddy--my parents kept him for me when I got married and my lung disease progressed to where I can't do the daily care, and he lived to 27, when I lost him in November of 2020. 24 years is a long time and he helped me through so many things, especially with my health--I could just go get on him and forget about all my pain--horses truly are one of God's greatest gifts to us and I'm so glad I just discovered your channel!! I will be watching all the videos! :)

This video brought back so many precious memories of my childhood horse, Spago. He was a Hanoverian Thoroughbred, but just like Pauline, he was made for jumping. He could be quite lazy doing ground work, but once we started jumping, he just lit up! There was no stopping my silly boy. You are so right, jumping him was exactly like flying. There truly is nothing like it. Thank you so much for all of your videos. They have brought such joy to my heart, and I am so glad that you were finally able to live your childhood dream of show jumping. :]

Jumping, along with Hunter/Jumper are my favorite English classes. By the way, correct me if I mistake horse disciplines for horse classes because I get confused on those and only terms since I think they're the same due to me watching different equine people either using the term class or discipline. For those who are new to the horse world, Hunter/Jumpers are both jumping with different rules and for style. Hunters are focused on Equitation. Jumpers are focused on time and if they clear the jumps with no faults, they go on to the Jump-Off.

Are you interested in riding a bucking horse? I rode bucking horses for years and bought some bucking horse mares and bred them to raise bucking horses. I didn't have the pasture land that I should have so I sold all the mares and babies except one baby. She is now my saddle horse. I'm sure she would be happy to give you a ride so you can say you rode a horse bred to buck.

754 not like that. Just random ravines or logs and puddles, A few things we set up around but not like that and I was in a western saddle or maybe the Australian saddle but I've only written in an English subtle in once or twice

I know I'm kinda late to the party with this comment, but you need to make longer videos. Go into the history of the breeds...where they came from, how old the breed is, what they were originally bred for.... No offense, but just a short video of you galloping along a beach or something is nice, but it really doesn't inform anybody of much. The histories, what breeds went into the development, what they were used for, their value today...that's what's really interesting.
@darkiee69
@darkiee69 10 ай бұрын
You could probably find all that with a simple google search. It's a fine balance you have to walk as a content creator, if your videos are too long less people will see them, too short and you don't get to say the most important things about the subject. See these videos as a teaser for you to go and find out more about the breeds that interest you. Do a KZbin search for more videos, google for more info.

It's 2023. When will the riding world get it? You don't need bits 😪 anymore, (not even bridels). Metal in horses mouths make me sad. 😥 So many "natural" horsemanship youtube channels, prove me right. Please people, let's evolve🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
