There's this boy close to my heart. We've been childhood friends but never really knew until we reconnected 10-9 years later (end of high school) We danced during prom and never really communicated afterwards. Few months later, we startes to reconnect again and learned about eachothers' childhood. We escalated to being best friends. We never treated each other more than friends would. We had lives of our own and we were growing. We had different romantic interests and such. Later on.. Just before college started, he confessed. I did too and although it was romantic.. It was also very confusing. We've been friends and this was new to both of us. The feeling is mutual. Nothing changed though. We talked about it and confirmed that we would rather have each other as best friends because jumping into a relationship might ruin what we have now and that starting and being in college would be difficult if relationships were to be brought along also. So now.. We're still friends lmao. But everytime we hang out is even more special than it used to be knowing that this peculiar boy is in love with me and i am in love with him too. Hey! So, I have a story to share. I used to listen to this song when I was in love with my best friend (we are both girls). I was super insecure about it, and waited for the "right moment" to say it. @@alinradu7196 Pretty good! She is having some personal problems because of the quarantine, but I'm there for her and the relationship is still going strong. She often says that she doesn't want to "burden/annoy me" but I always tell her that, well, that's what I'm there for, to support her. I mean, it's okay to have moments where you say "I'm not feeling well so I don't think I can listen to you right now"; but it's important to be there when you can. I feel like quarantine made our relationship stronger, in a way, because we're both unpacking so much stuff that we wouldn't otherwise. Ik it doesn't mean much but i love this song and well.. a while back my now ex best friend confessed that he liked me, no one had ever liked me and no one has for a while since so i was so excited to think someone did, i liked him too at the time. We "dated" for a bit if you can even call it that, he always complained that all my date ideas were things we'd done already, as friends, so it wouldn't be special. We went on like 2 dates, he never asked me out but would costantly joke about kissing or hugging me, he seemed to see these things as more of a challenge to be overcome then an emotional important thing. He broke up with me the same way he confessed, over text. Now he barely talks to me, hes ghosting me, except when i talk to him, and even then its 2 word answers. I miss being his friend. After that, and still rn, i feel as if no one could like me. Especially since if someone who's known me my whole life didn't why would anyone else? But yeah thanks if you read this far, i know its a dumb thing and not a big deal but ig its big to me cause that's been my only relationship.

So I fell in love with one of my last remaining friends a long time ago and didn't tell her, which I don't regret. Now whenever we talk she brings up someone new she has a crush on, I agonizingly listen and act happy for her. Except for this last time when I knew the person was catfishing her and I proved it to her. I almost told her that I love her that day. But I'm slowly starting to realize that anytime we do talk it's me who has to make the first move, send the first message, say the first hey. I once chased someone before and it didn't end well and I promised myself I would never chase someone again. I love her and I know it will take time but this time I will move on and find someone that I can openly and honestly love that I don't have to chase. To anyone who is having second thoughts about asking anyone out, let me share my story. I’ve liked this boy for a while and he’s my best friend. Hes funny, nice, caring, and trustworthy. Hes always there for me in any situation and I’ve caught feelings. So since everyone here is writing about their stories I thought I could share mine as well. When I started high school I met a bunch of new and wonderful people. I was particularly fond of this one guy, he always had a way to make not just me, but everyone in our friend group laugh. He never cared what others will think of him and always said some of the most ridiculous things that could possibly come to mind. I remember that we once went home in the same direction and that's when I really got to know him. Not long after we started hanging out more and more and became besties. I started liking him. At first it was just a little crush but it grew bigger every moment I spent with him. After some time he told me he likes this girl, a good friend of both mine and his. I was sad I missed my chance but at the very least I could help him not miss his. After a shit tone of advice I gave him, he asked the girl out and they're kinda sorta dating I guess. She's a complicated person and really hurts him badly sometimes but he still goes after her. Sometimes he comes to school looking like a truck ran over him and nobody but his girl can have such an emotional impact on him. He truly does love her and I really wish she starts treating him in the same manner he treats her. Even so, I'm glad when he comes to me to boast about a great day he's had e with his girl, how awesome their date was and when he tells me how he melted at her sweet words. I'm glad that he's happy and I'm glad that the girl he chose is worthy of his affection. She's very pretty and smart and kind, and even though she can break his heart by a simple word she still shows that she loves him back. I think he made a good choice. She's everything he could ever ask for and she couldn't have found a better guy either. I do sometimes consider myself a bad person for still liking him and wishing that I could be the one he dreams of. But 2/3 people are happy and that's a positive thing, and as long as he's happy I will do my best to be too.

I had a best friend once. I'd known him since we were 4 and 5 years old. I loved him like I'd never known was even possible and he loved me, so we took the risk. We dated for 13 months. I didn't realize how hard it is to date someone with mental health issues. He was controlling, he needed me to be available all the time, he would get depressed when I left for an event. This lead to a lot of hard times were he swore out my friends, my family, and all I love in my life. It got to where I didn't feel he saw me as person, but dated me for my body and the feeling of being supported. So I left him. It broke my heart, but it also taught me my worth. Sometimes you lose the people in your life for a reason.

As other people are I wanna share my story of love of fools. We were best friends, I saw her through two different girlfriends but the closer we got the more fell in love. One day we decided to test out dating each other and ended up being together for 5 months. But at around the 4 month mark we both as people who danced with depression an suicidal intrusive thoughts hit our biggest barriers, trust. We loved each other dearly but we both had been burnt by people. Me, my parents and friends, and her, her family. We were scared, but I soon realized that the more we tried to climb our walls, the more we crumbled. So I did something that destroyed myself more then her and let go. I knew doing this would cost me my friends, the family we had all made together, but I also knew that it meant she would have people to put her back together. She moved on, and I am still trying to tape myself back together. Luckily I found a new friend, one who although is as hurt as me, will help put me back together, and I intend to do the same. I doubt I will love someone for a long time yet, but I cannot speak for forever.
