For homogenous "gas only" systems, it is desirable to use partial pressure instead of molar concentration because partial pressure is easier to measure. There is a condition however and it is that we must assume each gas behaves like an ideal gas. Lastly, the equilibrium constant (Keq), should now be referred to as 'Kp' which stands for the equilibrium constant of partial pressure.
