Equilibrium Achieved? is centered around the relationship of symmetrical and asymmetrical structures. It applies these themes to form, rhythm, motifs, meter, and texture in both audible and inaudible ways. The composition limits each player to three instruments of the same family, forcing the work to shift a focus towards textural ways to incorporate the nuances of each instrument to achieve a vast world of sound.
