Equilibrium's original stuff had a very unique sound to it that you can't find in any other band. I have realized this after hearing how bad their latest songs are and going on a search for a replacement, only to find that there isn't anything similar. It's a shame they didn't stay true to their sound and are chasing popularity.

The moment I heard this song on an online podcast I was hooked on Equilibrium. It is still my favourite song, even after four years. I love my cd-shop for ordering Sagas when it came out. Sagas is one of my favourite metal albums, and I don't regret having bought it at all Shame Helge left, but Robse is a worthy replacement IMO. Took a little time to get used to, but I listen to Die Affeninsel just at much as I listen to Unbesiegt or Die Weide Und Der Fluss. Greetings from Holland.

Sometimes I do think that European metal is better than American metal. There are good metal bands like Metallica and lamb of god. But I've never really heard anything like this where I actually want to just bang my head as long as I can because I'm realizing just how epic metal is in Europe. I love the metal bands we have here but, bands like equilibrium are just so epic!!!

Gilles Wuyts Difference is most likely that Robse is more about growling and Helge more screaming. Thus I will love Turis Fratyr and Sagas the most for ever and always. Tbh if you look at the new albums you dont have songs like "heimwärts" "unbesiegt" or "blut im auge" vocal vise. Sure lyrics are still awesome but the whole pagan/epic metal style kinda changed after Helge. Still Rekreatur is pretty dope

Rene explained that in an interview. It would be to expensive and kind of boring for the player if they hired one guy who just plays for one song on the panflute, for example, and sits around the rest of the concert. They had a keyboardplayer for some years but now they just use recordings because it is the best way for them
