I rarely use a non-stick pan for anything except eggs . Made the switch about six months ago and I'm quite happy about it. Got an affordable stainless from Ikea, great pan, and a carbon steel pan. The carbons steel hasn't been to easy to deal with, but the stainless is a cinch. As you said in the video, non-stick has made people used to cooking on ridiculously high temps, dial it down and things work beautifully.
@sezwo57747 жыл бұрын
And its bird safe,-stainless steel. Not some deadly fume producing non-stick coating that will kill your parrots or canaries., and may even poison you. I hear some happy bird chirping in the background of the video. Beautiful. Thanks for the review, ...just bought the exact same model.

Wow! Just got this pan for 15 dollars ordering online from target.Pick it up at the store no shipping charge!This pan is excellent, it preform just as well if not better than a lot of my more expensive pans and cleans easily.I season it with canola oil, by putting the oil in the pan and brought it up to smoking point about 5 minutes on medium low, then turn off the heat at let return to room temperature, the wipe excess oil.The food does not stick, I tested with potato's rounds with no oil or butter they lifted easily with a beautiful even sear there was no hot spots.I did another batch covering as much surface of the pan and leaving enough space between the potato rounds so not to steam and I use a small tab of butter, the potato's rounds slid around the pan by swirling the pan, they had a beautiful golden even sear.I wipe the pan with a paper towel brought the heat to medium and let the pan get hot about 5 minutes I added a small flat iron steak it sear evenly and browned really good after about 4 minutes it lifted easily. I flip the steak over and did the other side.I added butter garlic rosemary spooning over the steak.I remove the steak to rest the pan had a good foundation I added beef stock to deglazed the remaining foundation let it reduce and pour over the resting steak.Share the flat iron with my wife really good great crust from the salt the steak was seasoned with using pepper during the last minute of cooking time.The pan clean easily under warm water and soap.Overall I say this pan rates excellent especially for the price.

Wtf this guy said he had no garlic to add to the steak. But at the end he is eating fresh garlic. Also what the hell was that noise during the whole video. I bet he has his wife scrub the shirt out of that burnt pan. You know that doesn’t come clean easy
@williamjoseph98 Жыл бұрын
LMAO. i brought this set, and let me tell you, you're are 100% correct in your assessment of having to scrub the shit outta these things to get them clean. LITERALLY EVERYTHING sticks to this damn set. Even after so called "seasoning" them. I returned them the same day I purchased them, only after having to spend a whole damn hour and a half scrubbing that one pan that he is using in the vid. All i was trying to do was sauté some garlic. smh

To everyone wondering how this pan cleans up: much easier than you think! I bought a set that had the small and twelve inch pans. I used the larger pan to pan fry Red snapper, and used a fair amount of spray, Parsley and Chipotle pepper powder. I had a few small hard to get bits, bit they came off completely with a plastic bristle brush in less than five minutes. I blame the Chipotle powder. Used on medium heat, cleaned when completely cooled.
@armyvets.73654 жыл бұрын
We bought a 12 over set, and did everything as instructed by the manufacturer prior to cooking, hell, now you have to have a power washer to clean them not a dishwasher! Junk status.

I have this pan used it for years it's ok but I prefer cast iron for meat...How long you had that meat my man looks old and brown geeesh you a chef you should know better but it looks good from over here don't know about the smell
@Rottidog8 жыл бұрын
Ok, honestly that center cut round cooking for that long almost had me screaming at the screen TAKE IT OUT!! Have to remember you're using a SS pan & the heat isn't as high as we normally use. Cast iron is my favorite steak pan & even a medium heat will damn near make a center round steak into jerky at med heat & above. Never knew my steaks were 'Greek' lol. TY again for a video & for a different version of some garlic. With that butter all heated up I add some fresh garlic slivers salt & crisp them. DAMN yummy they are AND the 5th person in line behind you at the grocery store isn't wondering where that pungent garlic smell is coming from. Hey, wait a sec, you said you didn't get to go shopping & that's why you used garlic granules. Where'd the fresh garlic come from? You DO have a GF or neighbor that's accommodating! Instead of a cup of sugar to borrow you asked for fresh garlic heads. Rottidog is wise beyond his beers! ;-) Cheers Richard & thanks again.
@RichardBlaine8 жыл бұрын
I found the garlic at the bottom of my crisper and I really did not know I had any. In traditional Greek households they DO put bowls of fresh garlic bulbs out for people to pop into their faces when they are eating just about anything at all! I don't mind smelling like garlic cuz in keeps the vamps away! :) Thanks for watching! Cheers!
