Hey! great video keep it up. I am thinking about putting a bulbar onto my Defender, however i do not know if this is a good option as they coast quite a bit in Australia. is it necessary to need one? as will be doing offloading. If i do get one what is the best brand and style of bulbar? Thanks!

Harry Everett Hi Harry, if you feel you could potentially hit a large animal, then fitting one is a good idea due to the damage they can do (the Defender has a very soft body, due to the birmabright alloy). They also often come as part of winch bar and are a great place to mount spotlights so if you plan on fitting these in the future you may be able to offset the cost by fitting one now. The best brand, ARB. In the UK, there are more options for bullbars / winch bumpers. Perhaps you could see if a company here, like Terrafirma can ship one out to you.

funroverdotcom Thanks Mate for the useful advise, i was thinking about putting a winch on the bulbar that i get, but i personally find the lights on the Landy is already quite powerful. Thank you!

I had a 1996 Toyota Rav 4 - The most dangerously under-engineered tinny car I have ever owned. e.g. rear door developed structural cracks as it could not support the weight of the rear wheel, speedo failed at 35 K, doors could not be opened or locked in the winter (Canadians brought a class action for that), tow bar fell off due to chassis threads not being able to hold its weight etc etc. traded it in for a Landover.
