Can I just say this is a brilliant channel, teaching patients how to use medical devices, as well as techniques to deal with the everyday things they’re unable to do post-op. I’m scheduled for a cervical fusion at the end of the month. Your vids are so helpful ❤

I am now with a Vista collar after a cervical operation and your videos are very helpful to cope with a life with the neck brace. I appreciate your efforts. Thanks to KZbin's service, the subtitles are available and most of your videos about Vista collars have ones but this video, for some reason. Non-native speaker of English like me do need assistance by texts to catch up your quick talk (which may not be too fast for English speakers, though). You don't necessarily have to put the scripts. Just turn on the automatic "caption" setting of this particular video, please. That'll provide us not just the voice-generated subtitles but also the translated ones in various languages-- in my case Japanese.

Expect to be stiff for a while! Those muscles forget how to work. One year later, still a little loss of range of motion.

I got my Aspen collar off after 7 weeks. I was told I no longer needed it because my bones and hardware were looking good. It’s been 10 weeks since my surgery. I’m doing well and trying to not be impatient with my hand strength returning very slowly. Overall, I got very used to my collar and no longer noticed it too much (unless I was sweaty!)

My mom has a C1 vertebra fracture. She is nou in a Lerman non-invasive halo brace. She has to wear this brace fo 12weeks (maybe 18weeks) I have no idea how we are going to wash her hair. Everyone just shrugs shoulders and suggest dry-shampoo. For 12weeks? And she already has some sticky stuff on her scalp from a brain scan (i think an EEG scan) Thank you for this video

Where can you obtain a shower collar?
@EquipMeOT Жыл бұрын
Some doctor’s carry them in their offices and they are specifically designed for bathing. Often you can ask for a second set of pads and this will work for showering too. Just rotate out the wet with the dry after the shower. Good way to keep the collar clean.
