One thing I 'never' seem to understand about 'Idol' is presented right here. I often wonder was it is they're looking for when it comes to 'talent', because as far as I'm concerned this young woman sang for all it was worth and more. I don't know what Randy was talking about (pitch problems? Who was he listening to?), as for Simon his response didn't surprise me one bit (although, this rendition sounded nothing like karaoke to me) but what else is new here.

I thought she was great, and it's really too bad she didn't make it into the Top 12... she was so much better than some of the others.. anyone know what happened to her? I saw a mention that she was featured with a Memphis choir ensemble called "The Echoes of Truth" which put out a CD called "Soul Has No Color", but I can't find a copy online, or any other news about her.. I hope she sees this and posts an update on her career and how we can buy that CD or anything else she's done...

She is representing MEMPHIS, TN, where I live and she should've went all the way and she has performed regional and local since this show! She cut up and her voice is just SUPER WICKED!

@dman747707 I'm sorry but Lil Rounds didn't suck at all. Yea she may have picked the wrong songs... but you can't deny that she can sing really well. The only reason why she picked the wrong songs was because she was worried about making the judges happy by doing what they wanted.... and not doing what she wanted. She would do exactly what they wanted and they would still not be happy.

American Idol is racist!! Every Season, The (DIVA) Black girl finished in the 3rd, 4th, 5th place almost every season! Proof: Season 1- Tamyra 4th place Season 2- Kim Locke 3rd place Season 3- FINE!! She was my favorite this season but I think she came off arrogant on television and didn't connect to the viewers..That cost her a spot in the top 10 or a wildcard callback. You have to be humble.

Nothing trying to make this a racial thing, but everyone except I think 1, at most 2 of the contestants were differnt races. When I saw this group back then, I got sick to my stomach to see only 2 are going to make it. then the one of the group didnt have any stand out performances.

Um... Frenchie wasn't voted off! Her past destroyed her own chance. She was disqualified. And Fantasia won over Diana who was white. Ruben won over Clay (white) who was even better!
