ER-32 Modification

I bought an ER-32 Morse taper 4 holder for a 1906 horizontal milling machine. Some modifications need to be done. Now I have brought this mill 120 years into the future. The short version (13 minutes) of this modification is on this channel. This video is much more detailed. Thanks for watching.

I bet that 4MT spindle has been reamed out a few times over its life, thats probably why its larger than spec. Well worth doing the modification. I like your lathe, its so quiet compared to a noisy geared head machine. Cheers Tony

Nice one Randy, I'll probably do the same thing if I ever get my little horizontal mill restored. It's a B&S #9 taper. That material was rather hard but you got through it. ATB....Dean

Thanks, Dean. It was much harder than I thought it would be. I'm lucky that old mill has a MT4. B&S #9 sounds like an odd ball size.
