Hey i got a l2550 i was mowing and hit a angle iron i cant engage my pto now the lever feels like if something is holding it from sliding all the way in when release the clutch it trys to engage but sounds like grinding my question is do you think i bent something or broke something inside
@JourneymanRandy
@JourneymanRandy 8 күн бұрын
I doubt hitting something caused this unless it hit very hard. On my tractor the bearing broke. This might have caused the teeth to break on the pto gear. Only way to know is split the tractor.

Thank you great video! I need to replace every single bearing on my A-7. However the manual (pdf) only has the wells part number. Does anyone have a complete list (cross reference) the wells part number with the actual bearing from SKF, Fafnir, etc?
@JourneymanRandy
@JourneymanRandy 2 ай бұрын
Try contacting W.F.WELLS & SONS. They were still in business and making the A-7 modern version. They email me a PDF file of the manual. That was years ago. Another option is to go to a bearing suppier. Any good bearing supply would be able to get those parts. Just bring in the old ones. Good luck. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@JourneymanRandy Thanks for getting back to me. Im looking for the main/middle spindle assembly for the deck.
@JourneymanRandy
@JourneymanRandy 3 ай бұрын
Hum. That is another hard to get part. The two side spindles are different. If you can find one it would be new old stock. I believe I found a parts list on-line a while back. With that you can get the part number and maybe Ebay. Worst case bring the old one to a machine shop. Might cost some but it will keep it running. I believe parts were discontinued 20 plus years ago although some are around. I found new old stock mower blades four or five years ago. Not cheap.

The L2850 was made from 1985-1992, it's a 4 cylinder with 34hp. My 2007 L3400dt is 3 cylinder and has 34hp with two stage clutch.... I wouldn't watch one YT channel if I had to watch adds, so I went YT premium. The problem I have with adds is it's always an add that advertises something that I have absolutely no interest in buying......
